Dear Heart,
The journey, together we've traveled
and pain you have eased from very start.
I knit each stitch, but life unraveled
Moments only you heard me, dear heart
secrets I whispered to you apart.
Beating strongly as we ran from grief,
to sweeten the air, make life more clear.
Without your strength, there was no relief
On cloudy days, your beat always near
Sudden sunshine made cares disappear.
Thank you, dear heart, for your loving keep
Traveling life, you've been my costar
And, when moments come and we both sleep,
As one, we'll journey midst clouds afar
on gentle breeze, find a distant star.

Once upon an unravelled thread
I travelled to the very end
To live the story that you said
And make true what was once pretend
Looking for the happy ending
Once upon an unravelled thread
Fixing flaws that needed mending
Beyond closed eyes safely in bed
A hedge rowed path just lightly tread
To knots that held my breath suspend
Once upon an unravelled thread
I lived a life I could defend
Inch by inch as I descended
Through years that lay in wait ahead
Apprehensions apprehended
Once upon an unravelled thread
Beautiful Obligation
Certain Consideration
over tawny sand
enveloping heat shimmers
chimeric deceit
UNRAVELED
Lives once entangled by the tender hands of fate
Unraveled by the fingers of reality
The fabric of love torn by loyalty and duty
To what once held the promise of happiness
Strangled by the tentacles of past commitments;
Frightened by the possibilities of unconditional love
The embers of passion smolder; paths divert
His spirit resonates from the depths of my soul
His eyes look out from the shadows of my memory
His absence haunts each passing day
Dreams relinquished
Hope abandoned
Love unraveled
