Dear Heart
Dear Heart,
The journey, together we've traveled
and pain you have eased from very start.
I knit each stitch, but life unraveled
Moments only you heard me, dear heart
secrets I whispered to you apart.
Beating strongly as we ran from grief,
to sweeten the air, make life more clear.
Without your strength, there was no relief
On cloudy days, your beat always near
Sudden sunshine made cares disappear.
Thank you, dear heart, for your loving keep
Traveling life, you've been my costar
And, when moments come and we both sleep,
As one, we'll journey midst clouds afar
on gentle breeze, find a distant star.
