Choices you make in life, kid, especially abominable

Ones eventually lead you down the road to perdition

Never keep dangerous company; it could cost you your life!

Stay far away from such ilk; look the other way.

End friendships with bad influences, quickly.

Quit handling weapons that could end your life in an instant!

Unsheathe not the sword of damocles for you could...

End up beheading yourself. Remember, safety first!

Nice and easy now...you know swords aren't toys!

Child, please heed my admonitions before it's too late.

End your careless flirtation with disaster, or...

Suffer the consequences. You reap what you sow.

Sky Bright Ever

A-llow the dusk to pass,
L-et Saturday meet the light;
L-et Friday fog fade away,
A-fter the long cold
N-ight.

R-ise of the sun begins,
E-arly thirty-first December;
Q-uest for a new venture,
U-ntil you finally discover.
E-xpect the coming storm,
R-ain in torrents shall occur;
Q-uit not to brave the horizon,
U-nder the sky bright
E-ver.

Die Reptiel Vrou - the Reptile Woman

Die reptiel vrou
Het my alweer geflous
Met my gedeel, haarself ontbloot,
en toe
Die bitter gif gespoeg

Dit vloei uit my bors uit, deur my are
Verander my bloed - haar bloed
Word swart, taai, en koud
Soos haar hart

***

The reptile woman
Has fooled me again
Shared with me, exposed herself
and then
Spat out the bitter venom

It flows out of my chest, through my veins
Changes my blood - her blood
Becomes black, sticky, and cold
Like her heart

Rays of the Sun Will Shine

R-ays of the sun will shine,
A-fter the night passes by;
Q-uit not when the rain falls
U-nderneath the dark sky.
E-leventh November morn breaks after the twilight;
L-et the rays of the sun shine to set everything aright.

A-ll you have to do is hope,
C-ry not during disaster;
A-llow your heart to glow,
B-raving the vilest weather.
A-s you sail the rugged sea,
D-on't let your boat sink;
O-vercome the big waves, later lane above is pink.

B-e brave in the darkness
O-r during the sad sunset;
L-et your life be strong,
I-nstead of fearing the fret.
M-idnight is about over, day will be dawning fine;
A-s you rise from slumber, rays of the sun will shine

Beautiful Beacon

A-s the night is gone,
N-ew dawn has begun to break,
A-fter the twilight.

B-eautiful beacon
A-ims to shine with warmth above,
R-ising once again.
A-ll of the shadows
Q-uit to give way to morning,
U-nderneath the sky.
I-t's a lovely day,
E-vening chill is just over,
L-ight is burning bright.

Evidence of Faith

A-n evidence of faith
N-ever fades into the wind;
N-or it goes into thin air,
I-t shows work without
E-nd.

C-ount on the evidence of faith,
A-s it will lead you to heaven;
B-ecause of your sacred deed
A-iming to let great gate open.
L-et the evidence of faith

U-sing the acts of righteousness,
I-nstead of letting you go wrong.

T-o make your own life great;
O-n the seventh of February, show the evidence of faith.

Live Against All Odds

S-oar against all odds,
A-bove the clouds in the sky;
R-each the silver lining,
A-im to fly so
H-igh.

M-ove on against all odds,
A-llow your heart to glow;
E-ven though your mind is filled with so much sorrow.

R-ise against all odds,
O-bliterate the doubt;
N-o reason to fall down,
Q-uit not or never walk out.
U-nderneath the heaven,

L-et the thirteenth of September
L-ive against all
O-dds.

Beginning To Ascend

M-ist and haze Friday
A-re both nowhere in sight;
Y-our birthday has come, after the Thursday night.

A-s you tread on the horizon,
Q-uit not despite the raindrop;
U-se the sixth January chance

N-ever mind the hardship, heartaches soon will end;

Until the Request Is Entitled

L-et the request be granted,
E-ntitled to get the answer;
A-llow it to be heard, for your mind to remember.

R-equest shall be approved
E-very twenty-third September;

Storm

Hou my vas gedurende die storms van my hart.

Lieg

Lieg

Ek natuurlik, onderskei, kon binne in my voel

In minder as ‘n week of twee het jy my plek gevul
As jy so vinnig aanbeweeg en my nie eers wou sê;

Jy By Die See

Jy by die see

In my drome sien ek ‘n duidelike beeld

Donker kaalvoet spore sink diep in
Ag, was jou spore maar in my hand

Oomblikke later – Die maanlig skuif verby

‘n reguit ry spore vleg deur joune in
Iets jaag jou steeds

Sprake Vs Skrywe

Sprake vs Skrywe
