Tricked By His Tomfoolery

His sophistry made sense to the hillbillies who were listening
They ran out and told it as if it was gospel
Because to them, it was
They had no idea he was a conman.
They thought he was an honest man,
but alas, they were tricked by his tomfoolery.

Melodious Lamb

5 Tablespoons of honey
5 Tablespoons of pommagranite molassass
5 tablespoons of Cayeene pepper
2 Tablespoons of mace
5 tablespoons of ground ginger
5 tablespoons of ground garlic
5 tablespoons of ground pepper
5 tablespoons of fennel seeds
5 tablespoons of lime juice
5 tblespoons of dried Cilantro
1 Tablespoons of Bourbon
3 tablespoons of brownsugar

mix lime, honey, molassass and bourbon and brown sugar.
rub on de-boned leg of lamb.
Mix spices and rub on lamb. Allow to marinade for 24 hours.
roast medium well.

slice and allow for those who wish well done to have there's broiled to desired doness.

Serve with a salad! and Wine.
Or potatoes and gravy.
or a savory sqash dish.
Aint knowing like loving, enjoy!

before there
was non

existent climate
change where
before now 

my eyes
yes suddenly
predictably on

my grandson stopped
about how hot
it was under

his costume so
i continued to
pull off his

face mask so
he could
relax

catch his breath
before his next
trick but they

always obligingly
went for the
treat of

some sticky stuff
or as what was
that was it

moving in my bag
this took me
back when

on an obviously
October night
i simply

dressed as a ghost
and like most
sheets with

poked out eyes 
felt the cold
and so 
wore

on top of my 
disguise
a winter

coat

Like a zombie at a town picnic
Scarfing brains in my room, like a shtick
My costume I offed
For I retched and coughed
Mom said, "That was the ultimate trick!"

Tricked Her Into Love

The Japanese servant man
                  Indentured to the princess,
                  Tricked her into loving him
                  through extreme kindness

Alas, I Was Tricked By a Heartless Mirage

Hues I desired, soon abandoned my sky
As flashing thunder ignited fiery clouds
Dissipating orange glow evening sought
Turning wild winds into advancing storm

Having promised you a galaxy of stars
I stepped boldly to go where they are
But there was no moon to guide my path
As I waddled in floods pitch-blank dark

Birds had detoured to shelter and hide
Seeing ocean's ride in enormous tides
Scattering on earth a despicable plight
As upon a hill I saw a glimmer of light

Courage I found in wondrous thoughts
Knowing this was to be my only chance
Bracing the storm to go where you are
Waiting inside the tall red lighthouse

But when I made it there you were gone
Alas, I was tricked by a heartless mirage

I Was Tricked

The cops slapped the cuffs on me and locked me in a cell.
I sold some beer to an under age man and now I'm in jail.
A nineteen year old showed me his license and it looked authentic.
His driver's license said that he was twenty-two but I was tricked.
I thought his ID was real, I didn't know that it was fake.
Now I'll spend two years in jail for just making a mistake.
I don't deserve to be locked up, the police and the D.A. have a lot of nerve.
That man old got off scot free while two years is what I'm being made to serve.
The only thing that happened to the nineteen year old was that they took his license away.
Because of that under age punk, I'm being made to pay.
When I'm released, I won't work at any store that sales beer.
I'm in jail just for making an error, I don't deserve to be here.

I just do not care myself

If you are tricked by a devil’s beauty
And rush to staunchly support me
And squash all the allegation pitted against
And term me an honest or innocent and set me free
Yet I won’t go to support me
I stand strongly against myself
As I found me guilty in many counts
And they are more than thirty three
In telling lies and hatching conspiracies
In slandering people and in biting back behind the curtain
As a judge I award myself a kick and thirteen lashes
And put behind bars for years ninety nine
You may be tricked by a whore’s glamour and beauty
And set me scot- free
I do not do the same
As I find myself the sole witness against me
And I know how did I do myself the sordid things
I warned my tongue
I threatened my mind never to use
My hands and legs to do misdeeds
I did not care myself; I just did not care myself
And till date continue telling lies
Do you catch me this time ?
or are you still under the tricks of a devil's beauty ?

Can you see the fury in my eyes?
Don’t you know, I regret
Ever meeting you?

It was a cold trick.
One that proved almost fatal.
You pushed me over the edge.
I hope you crash and burn.
Go ahead and crash on your laughter.

Pain burns deep into me. 
I hide it behind that happy smile.
I really don’t know how to get you
Out of my mind.
But, I swear to God, I’ll find a way.

I don’t care of it means
Death. It will happen. 
We’re all bound for it
When we are born,
Some just sooner than others.

A dark memory rests in me,
One that you’ve left
With it, scarred feelings,
Pain, Love Hate and Lust.

You’ve left a mess.

Better find a way to fix it

Halloween is typically a night of petty crime
But it can also provide entry to a ball of slime

For a psycho, costumed throngs provide cover
To someone who of violence is a twisted lover

To give sweets to kids Marilyn found a delight
But another knock came a bit late that night

She opened the door and then gasped in fear
At the leering adult she saw standing near

“I have enough sweets and don’t need more”
Is what he said as he shoved through the door

Marilyn’s terrified scream didn’t raise alarm
For Halloween is a night dedicated to harm

So if you celebrate Halloween, better beware
Since you never know who’s standing there

You've got to be kidding me
I thought that this would set me free
But I find I'm only well
Deeper entangled in your spell
I should have know I can't escape
Your hold on me is just to great
Your claws dug are dug in deep
Holding my heart with metal hooks
Stealing all my hopeful looks
You won my heart through trickery
So never yours will it truly be
Though also never will it be free

Silently he moves,
secretive by nature,
cautious by design,
startled by sudden movement,
dashes to safety,
watchful in his burrow,
tricked by skeletal shadows
of overgrown grass,
hunger pangs his insides,
ignored,
greater his will to survive.
