As I wander across the arid dunes
Singing along, stringing along the ghastly glacial tunes
Sinking in the sands of debility
Saddled on a ride filled with sanguinity
Pondering, contemplating, despairing
Again, something is missing
Losing my touch as I bask in unfulfillment
Treasuring countless, meaningless sentiment
Albeit freedom-sworn, forever I am imprisoned
Locked behind those mourns of the damned
Days fly, and keep flying, freezing this ever old tale
The pained, unchanging currents never stopped, my heart too shall never settle
The nightly howls never halted, my eyes open unendingly

We do not speak out of our own strength,
Rather it's a response.. the word of God makes,
He gives us the keys of authority to speak against fear,
And the word of God speaks loud and clear,
Our voice is an instrument and the chords open doors,
The beauty of His word shows our hearts more,
He sets the stage as we stand at the alter,
He leads our hearts as we watch him put it all together,
Stepping down can be standing up, the heart can speak louder than words,
When your strength is weak but your heart is stirred,
And you respond accordingly, you heed to the call,
Sometimes He quiets your heart to say nothing at all,
Treasuring His purpose while purposely forgetting your own,
You see it's not your house.. it's His home,
And his love will touch the very depths of your soul,
The tears you cry of letting go of your own,
Releasing, tearing down walls, responding and speaking out His words,
Knowing in your heart what's meant to be heard,
Love is a digger... find me in Him,
His love is my treasure from within

Living
poetic
Treasuring
feelings
Wrapping each
moment
In letters
of sound
Freeing the
silence
Words deep
within me
Calling the
future
Where verses
— resound

Wrote a poem just four years ago
reminding myself how I must grow.
Entitled it then "Looking Ahead";
Each year, new verse I add to that thread.
“Looking inward in 2-O-2-2.
a more intentional me for You
Resolutions help me get onboard
and glorify the Almighty Lord."
Looking outward in 2-O-2-3
treasuring what Christ has meant to me,
wishing God's commonwealth to enlarge,
thanking my Savior who has full charge.
Looking forward in 2-O-2-4
fulfillment - what God put me here for -
to share my faith as I run this race
knowing that no one deserves His grace.
Looking upward in 2-O-2-5
God’s spirit alone will help me thrive.
Wishing does no justice to His cause;
but obedience wins His applause.

His intrinsic calamity of calmness
burning down my bugbears
meticulous admirer that you are
lifting me through the stairs of Arcadia
with this brutal force of ocean’s nature,
re-reading the solitude of memories
the real unfolding the fictional underneath
to profess and pass through the infinite
treasuring the hearts of the time
like a favourite book of mine

Three sister winds,
Ephemeral progeny,
Spawned by the sun's relentless
But passionless heat,
And the earth's inexorable
Grinding rotation:
Sirocco dances across the vast emptiness of the Sahara;
Mistral roams over the rolling plains and briny lagoons
Of the French Camargue;
Santa Ana, mistress of the paradoxical
Lush aridity of Southern California.
Solitary nomads these three siblings,
Never meeting,
Rarely resting,
Always appearing unannounced,
Creating with cold dispassion,
Then leaving in their wake,
Their own ephemeral progeny:
Summits and trenches,
Hills and valleys,
Crags and craters.
Sad reminders of their brief visits
And lonely passing.
Continually shifting,
Eternally sifting,
Maternally treasuring,
Methodically measuring,
As if carefully counting each precious grain
In the sands of time.

To My First Dog
Long asleep in your unknown grave,
My companion, loyal and beloved
Throughout my youth’s growing years,
You cannot know nor now see
How you do still bring tears to me
With memories haunting
Of the ways our friendship yet remains.
Asleep so still…
With fury has over a half-century passed
Since daddy took me to choose you
From a wriggling, yipping litter of
Nine-week-old, black and tan, mutt pups
On a straw-strewn wooden platform set
Against a pet store’s window…All of you
Squirming and…begging
For a child about age nine — like me —
To come pointing, excitedly…begging,
“That one!”
As our black eyes met
— yours directly melting into mine —
Glinting great hopes…
(Remember? )
Now even there ~
In heaven’s waiting while dreaming,
In your halcyon grave’s space ,
You cannot know nor wonder
How love survives still
Holding onto smiles past the tears that grief brings
For a long and deep heart’s treasuring.

What's the most important thing in life
It's love love sweet love
There's nothing else has even comes close
More than anything else above
Call me an over-the-hill silly old duffer
But this is what I've found
Without it there's an empty space down deep
Heart's have a hollow sound
So if you haven't yet experienced true love
The best part is up ahead
It's the greatest thrill you'll ever experience
You'll feel giddiness in your head
Take it from me I've learned from experience
It's why I wake up with a smile
It's away ahead of whatever comes second
It wins by a country mile
Love is basically what this life's all about
Passion for another human being
About treasuring all the good things we have
It even surpasses peeing!

When the words were intense
and the soul no longer
conceded to comfort
Thoughts got blind
and the heart beats in tension
Silence
*****
Absent are ardent
words
an inability to fill gaps
meanings suspended
seasons slowly stretching
Silence
*****
A thin veil
hiding behind
a thick weight
suppressing many a
sound
Silence
*****
Deeply delving into a void
seeking the significance
of a still word
trying to explain an unexplained
world
Silence
*****
Observing, absorbing
the aura of silence
touching its vibrant
presence
perceivable, palpable
Silence
*****
Pausing in peace
treasuring tranquillity
allowing the soul
to such a state admire
sinking in a serene space
Silence

I believe in a sovereign Father God,
His Son, Jesus' virgin birth
the Holy Spirit - these three I applaud.
I believe God has a family plan
safe place for a husband and wife
creating children as they form a clan.
I believe moms work hard to satisfy
what households need. Dads get jobs to supply
the basics: food, clothes and shelter thereby.
God works in my world to interweave
blessings of fam'ly which we daily receive,
a safe place with Him in whom we believe.
I believe when I see a toddler try
balancing on feet with arms raised
trusting mom and dad ready on standby.
Because children learn by not giving up,
parents learn by treasuring family -
God's special place, safe within His hands, Yup!

"Be happy in the moment, a moment
is all we need"...Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa's song has been sung, thus:
she was an angel who dwelt among us
Ego discarded, midst poverty lived
In giving herself, inspired all to give
The world awaits us to join her soft song
In lonely world, helping others along
treasuring moments as they quickly flee
Being grateful for days we can't yet see
Hard to process moments of wasted time,
yet ponder lengthily moments sublime.
Would we could sample each forgotten day
But, like sunbeams, they drift softly away
Will we learn from Mother Teresa's grace
to reach out and become a Human Race
In our brief moments before they are past
can we find unity and love at last

wild spirit and gentle soul
serenity is your second nature
treasuring a trust well earned
let me come in close to you
peace exudes with your every breath
throughout this snowfilled wonderland
cashmere under muted whispers
i wonder what thoughts cross your mind
i feel you bring out the best of me
at times i think you understand

Bouncing from frustration’s grim aftermath
My faith ascends to withstand, cope and face
Praising God for bestowed triumphant* grace
As brave warrior surmounting failure’s wrath.
Recovering from well-being's distress
Amidst hypertension diagnosis
My heart shines for radiant prognosis
Cleaving to Christ, my Lord, the great fortress.
Blest with hope, propped by enlightenment-gain
My soul prevails to learn from wisdom’s wealth
Treasuring eternal lessons of divine health
To share bliss, love, and peace, never in vain.
Propped for inevitable storm's arrival
My will marches on steadfastly fervent
Trusting the Lord Who controls each event
Victorious still, beyond mere survival.
Grateful to overcome personal battles
While reaching-out to those in pain with care
My spirit remains joyous against despair
Braced by the Saviour, vanquishing rattles.
*2Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ…
