Real as a ruby dawn twinkling on morning dew
Tiptoeing in splendorous view, enticing anew
Golden smile of sun sparkling on skyline blue,
An imprint of my love, so beauteous and true
This moment that woos, this moment’s all you.

Let me save it from vagrant vagaries of mind,
Protect it from withering in seasons unkind,
Treasuring benevolence its eloquence defined
This moment of mine at the peak of its prime
Let me grab it before it takes the shape of time.

When its journey on wings of love had just begun
Oh! how seductively its tender passions spun
Clues of romance from rhythms of your heart
Rejoicing musings our indulgent souls impart
Imploring fondly to never let this moment depart.

Dwell not in the yesteryears that passed us by,
Let the halo of its aura revive gleam in your eyes
Enticing you to be mine, this moment is sublime,
Oh, how in its realm, dreams and reality rhyme!
Let me grab it before it takes the shape of time.

Silence

When the words were intense
and the soul no longer
conceded to comfort
Thoughts got blind
and the heart beats in tension
Silence
*****
Absent are ardent
words
an inability to fill gaps
meanings suspended
seasons slowly stretching
Silence
*****
A thin veil
hiding behind
a thick weight
suppressing many a
sound
Silence
*****
Deeply delving into a void
seeking the significance
of a still word
trying to explain an unexplained
world
Silence
*****
Observing, absorbing
the aura of silence
touching its vibrant
presence
perceivable, palpable
Silence
*****
Pausing in peace
treasuring tranquillity
allowing the soul
to such a state admire
sinking in a serene space
Silence

Premium Member A Stalker's Love Poem

They say I’m crazy, but I can’t forget
how she smiled at me when our eyes first met.
To see her, to hear her - each day I’d pray!
What do they know of true love anyway?

A few times we went out, and we nearly kissed.
But things took a wrong turn. What had I missed?
I’m sure her friends said to keep me at bay.
What do they know of true love anyway?

They called me possessive; then even she
got an order from court to restrain me
for treasuring her!! Here’s all I can say:
What do they know of true love anyway?

They got me for murder; I love that girl still.
I could not have her, so no one else will.
I sit writing love poems, rotting away. . .
What do they know of true love anyway?

Premium Member A Dream Cloud

I joined the mile high club
Love as one began dreaming magic beautiful sunflower rays
dancing feelings within clouds gleaming

Blossoming flowers within your star lighting crystals
frosted dewdrops sparkle inside treasuring soul thoughts
embracing warm smiles in dazzling sunshine beams

Baby you always take the lead
as the winds haunting moans crying through the trees
howling one spirit of a lone wolf born under the cold moon

Sure as the clouds gather together capping
heavily darken with rainfall running down the mountain
one silver stream chain towards the great Atlantic

Most purest star of blinding light
sitting high among'st the angels
stunning heartstrings when warmly plucked

Strummed touching echoes warm vision of a goddess
kissing dark jewels flickering lights up across many oceans
always waves land on golden sands footprints our forever

unrhymed tercet

Premium Member Burning Star

Oh baby
these eyes fell down
you're amazing beautiful body
Tingling with warm liquid gold
slowly began melting in fingers
chocolate over soft velvet sweet honey
I began dreaming undressing
deep inside with burning hot desire
Shimmering light of candle
stirring passion flickering memory
gentle kisses burning embers
In the fire ultra warm
sizzling dreaming hot
touches inside desiring love
Once upon a time begins
our enchanting fairy tale dream
From out of the deepest forests
walking on these sands footprints
forever and always will remain special
Left in the heart touching beats
wishing you were here right now
A star shining
catching you inside the magic dust
charming precious held
Within a breath of silver thought priceless
silken wrapped gifted treasuring gem
Faraway whispers sweetly
in silver breaths of air blowing
carried over the moon and back whistling
Echoes sweetly over the hill through the valleys
far beyond time unraveling truth over beauty
almost felt I was making love to you

Premium Member The Christmas Spirit

The Christmas Spirit

All year long a lot of excitement,
surprising developments . . .
up’s and down’s
fear, anxiety, conflicts, sadness
all over the world—
and given this . . .
where now shall the
Christmas Spirit come from?

Remember also . . .
the year of your friends and family—
situations when you met your friends
with laughter and joy,
while living and always treasuring family values
at home with true love, feelings, and caresses.

That soft and caring embrace
in the morning . . .
before going to school or work;
that kiss and hug in the evening
when you’re finally coming home.

And, this is where the “Spirit of Christmas”
comes from . . .
it comes from deep within your heart,
where it meets every heart around you,
where it touches the depth of your humanity,
and a soft whisper comes from there too . . .
“Merry Christmas!”

Life According To Cecilia

Life is a journey with much happiness and pain
With twists and turns that bring sunshine and rain

              *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Young and strong with the world at your feet
Ready to face anything and anyone you meet

Fearless and brave you march to your own inner drum
Not caring where your going and where you came from

Convinced there will be time for all you want to do
Thinking your invincible and wild through and through

Leaping before you look, not afraid of being hurt
Wisdom of your elders you unconcernedly avert

Collecting memories and experiences at record speed
Expecting loved ones to always be there when you need

                 *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Now older and wiser you reflect on your life
Realizing you could have avoided much strife

More cautious and wary you step with care
So not to leave yourself vulnerable and bare

Questioning your motives before you embark
Knowing you shine whether you make a mark

Treasuring those you love, giving them your time
Reminiscing about those who made heavens climb

Taking advice of seniors for they are astute and wise
Slow down and enjoy each moment for life is the prize

                   *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Life is a journey with much happiness and pain
With twists and turns that bring sunshine and rain

Voice of Octave Love

I was sixteen when I fell in love
with her soaring skyward voice
Smitten by the sight of
melting ice cream dripping down her hand,
the hand that held the cone
As she smiled, wearing her denim overalls
Had a perfectly shaped Afro,
this beautiful sonorous soul
Minnie Riperton ...
she had the voice of an angel
She had rare God-given ability;
she could raise her voice one octave at a time,
higher and higher ... so sublime
Stepping up the musical ladder to the stars
she would climb
Vocalese ... soul satisfying release
Birds of paradise flocked to hear her voice;
as lovers swooned in the sultry moonlight
on summer nights,
serenaded by her sensuous invite
Listening to the voice of octave love
Minnie Riperton ...
we all were Lovin' You
as her beautiful voice took us
to the Edge of a Dream
But she departed years ago,
so we sit Alone in Brewster Bay
treasuring the Simple Things
Hearing her breathtaking voice
sparks in me the inner flame,
as her songs take me down Memory Lane
Over forty years later,
I emerged out of my personal wilderness ...
guided on many a nights
by the heavenly stars up above,
and by the voice of her pure octave love

A fulfilled life is verily possible with God

toward triumphant soul-nurture and spiritual revival...

Being blessed by the Saviour is sure delight
since His presence is insured, even His ready guidance
with His wisdom for a victorious walk by faith that pleases Him
enabling the doing of what's right, exalting His name...

By being peacemakers, a worthy life we can optimize
as believers of the Lord, blissfully forgiven
while showing care midst woes' affliction
indeed sharing, overcoming selfishness...

Midst crises, a peace-filled life can abound
as we trust the great Provider Who satisfies our needs
He keeps His promises; every lack He supplies
along contentment that He alone can suffice...

Aware of fulfillment revolving around Christ's faithfulness
our best response is willing, obedient stewardship
to reach out to others with earnest compassion
following His example of humble servanthood...

Privileged to enjoy a fulfilled life is victory seal
marking our earnest ministry for the Master
whom He has bestowed with His Gospel story
to spread His love that someone may also have fullness* in Him!

Imagining

Her mind is afar somewhere
       ...imagining
She's flying with her dragon
He's flying her away to a magical place
Where rainbows never fades and flowers
 are forever blooming
They dance and laugh
Twirling in sugar land
But never eye to eye
She's afraid to look into his eyes
Because his eyes have fire burning

        ...and
She's not ready to burn just yet...

She needs to be able to keep coming back
She's treasuring every moment spend
It's where she finds joy and peace
Until she's gravitating back to her shell
and all is back to grey

Only her mind keeps her busy
       ...imagining!

     Smile

Premium Member A Rhyme Less Reason

Without reason rhyme would not be sublime.
Un-metered runs of tale-tossed words, un-timed
would reasonably scatter like broken chimes,
petering-out upon the parchment page of springtime.

Without season time could not unwind
in measured meter with unearthly reason kind,
scattering broken bits like brittle finds
across the fragrant fields of summer time.

Without lessons man would not advance lifetimes,
measuring his earthly mettle in the after time
treasuring the gifts of life with autumn’s wine,
His reason is not ours to know, though it seems kind.

Without rhyme or reason, we search for the Prime,
the holy gift of love and peace exsisting before time.
Now, as we enjoy the gifts of winter most pristine,
we praise all that’s holy for the gift of life's time.

Premium Member Once So Small and Precious

I once was important, folks cared about me,
Keeping me safe in a special bound book.
And in this book I had perfect stylized sheets,
Folks would gaze, remember and look

At every small detail that they could see,
Treasuring the moment in time that I was,
Treasuring the true honest faces all over my skin,
Treasuring me simply because

Their films only held maybe twenty small moments,
And folks waited for the shop to call,
There was no other way to capture that time,
Every time I was hung from the wall.

But now I’m replaced with a million small selfies,
The same silly person with the same silly face,
Now I’m so unimportant, forgotten in seconds,
I’m your small, precious photo remembering a place.

Premium Member Step Gently In My Soul

Grinning at revelry on amber arc of twilight sky
Silently in my embrace you whisper, asking why,
I hang my dreams on the wings of twinkling stars
And let them wander in space searching for mars;

So I point you to freedom, buoying eagle’s flight
And the moonlit horizon shimmering your sight
And the expanse of blue oceans bouncing in tides
And the invisible force of universe gravity guides.

As I hold you in my arms, to fold you in my heart
I assure you that nothing will ever keep us apart,
For you will always reside in my every thought
And be the flame of passion euphoric dreams allot;
Affirming my love in beauty of primrose flowers
And rainbow of colors past the retreating showers.

Oh, how I hold you near, treasuring you my dear
Serenading gift of future in endearments hearts revere,
Ready to engage the night in my romantic themes
As you walk in my reveries in dawn’s golden beams;

Step gently in my soul to amble in my dreams,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Compassion Within Us, Placed By Divine Hands

Compassion, weakness or a curse
or expression of mercy's heart,
I denying Love, which is worse
than savagery this world imparts
became blind in my silent pains
an enigma, lost, out of touch
treasuring my ill-gotten gains
my lies held firm, my needed crutch.
In ignorance racing along
my repentant soul yet cried out
I running from world's teeming throngs
destiny's hand, life turned about
compassion's touch, came not too late
*I am the master of my fate.*

Social Media Addiction

So many beautiful people online, but is social media love real?
Are you in love with the idea or is it genuinely how you feel?
can you have feelings of love for someone you've never met?
or are you just lonely in real life and treasuring any form of contact from people on the Internet?

We all have crushes and I'm not saying you shouldn't shoot your shot
But I've seen some people start to lose the plot
I've seen it happen to guys where they go insane because the girl doesn't reply to their message
There are millions of other girls out there, are you really that desperate?

You may speak daily, but always remember it's someone you haven't met in person
are they being themselves? or a different version?
Do you love the person behind the photograph,or just that one picture?
Are you allowing your world to shrink just for your Internet following to grow bigger?

Personally to me something just doesn't feel right
When people prefer looking good on social media instead of living their real life
they ignore their own friends and start to ignore their own crowd
People in relationships don't communicate anymore because they won't put their phone down

I'd rather have a drink with friends or put on a comedy for us to laugh at
But it's difficult when they won't come off Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat
I guess this is just the world we live in
I don't hate it, I just wish it was a little different

I wish these sites had a time limit for how many hours you can use it a day
For a few hours people should learn to put their phones away
Some will strongly disagree with how I feel
But I'd like to say that Addiction to social media is real
