Once a whale spent a day at the beach,
eating one too many pies of peach.
Became bloated in the sun,
to a weight over a tonne,
now has an itch she can't bend to reach

She had a bit of a problem
Of which she was reluctant to disclose
Her wardrobe was full to overflowing
With a wild array of clothes
She justified this behaviour
By insisting it was cheap stuff
Purchased from the op shops
She couldn't get enough
Because it was so cheap
She'd buy three things instead of one
Her shirts multiplied in dozens
And her dresses by the tonne
The day eventually arrived
The wardrobe door would close no more
The drawers were overstuffed
Things were piled up on the floor
Clearly drastic action was needed
And obviously, without a doubt
This would require some discipline
And red wine to sort it out
Hours later, knackered and dishevelled
She had reduced her clothing stash
She promised never to repeat this mistake
And instead save herself the cash
She staggered to the op shop
Weighed down with bags of gear
But naturally, there was a sale on
And really, she had nothing left to wear...

Title: Sonny Son
The school bell rang
Kids came pouring out
I couldn’t see my son
He wasn’t there
Nor was he about
He was up in the sky
So high & so free
Yet to be born
But has other places to be
Had the key to the clouds
He should be here on earth with me
So many sights to see
Ground to roam
Only in my dreams i cuddle him
When it should be at home
You & your sister
Could have had all sorts of fun
Im sorry son
Im sorry son
This pain weighs a tonne
Im sorry son, so sorry son
You now are the sun

My truck is almost full
of birds , that have risked
their last migration
for a journey to the planet mercury.
So fell from the sky
a ton of fried chickens.
I won't have to swing my fork
in the stars,
nor to plant my fingers
in the electrical socket,
there will still be some time
before I starved to death.
RC

Atomic payback made impact dramatically
Physics split minute energy into mammoth
Allied forces warned Hiroshima, Nagasaki
Destroyer of worlds, Now I become death
Military master, Japan, thought threat outrageous
Devastation loomed, four tonne 'Boy' understated
Captain William Parsons' eleven crew couragous
Strategists secured success in moment awaited
Mortally haunted, Heaven bound warrior, Tibbet
Executed bitter battle's end with dual blast pinnacle
Blood fry in nuclear fire equals life's instant inhibit
Barrel of boiling tar nuclear, dark enemy formidable
Warfare honing hails modern science triumphant
High flying stealth hit dismissive city, Hiroshima
80 000 obliterated in blast's mighty circumference
Spurred surrendour from horror, West's redeemer
War's tragic trail of destruction is never desirable
Japan's lax defense conceded their due fire cease
Bleeding Harbour sped innovation for global survival
Deadly allied attack rendered long needed peace

In a 40 tonne steal vessel
You'd think your safe
But the waves are hassle
Higher than the empire state
Tossing us around,
Like a childs play thing
Up high then suddenly down
Left to right like a swing
Hanging on to a table
With my head full of lumps
Not feeling very stable
Getting battered by loose junk
I want to go home now
It's been long enough
I'm cold, scared and half drowned
Seawater covering all of us
Never change your ships name
Was a scream I heard
The captains to blame
The oceans proving the curse
I'm too young to die
And not in this way
I cannot tell a lie
Save me i pray

Getting of a London bus
On a sweltering day in June
Trying not to swear or cuss -
I knew I’d be home soon.
The shopping bags were heavy
They seemed to weigh a tonne,
But I knew this was the levy,
For my cuppa in the sun.
My senses all were bristling
As I reached up for the pot
When the kettle started whistling,
With the water bubbling hot.
Holding handle and the spout
With a gentle, slow gyration,
I warmed the pot throughout
With expectant jubilation.
That rich and sweet perfume
Of tea leaves as they brew
Fill my senses and the room
With the wonder they imbue.
I set my China cup,
Upon its saucer on the tray,
Eager for that first sweet sup,
I pour without delay.
Tea, deep brown and steaming,
Softened by a splash of milk,
Sends my taste buds reeling
When I sip it’s liquid silk.
For some, it’s like a ritual,
For some just rehydration
For some a joy, habitual,
A wonder of creation.
For me it’s like a refuge
From the storms, the stress and strife
When drowning in life’s deluge
This Elixir of life !

A knife stab on a man
Hurts as much on a kid
He has to remain mum
A brave face to cede
A woman on his side, on the other a son
Two souls to shield, emotions never freed
He has strength to lift a tonne
And more to make his tears recede
He holds the tears back like a dam
When his boiling anger feeds
His heartbreak may have no span
But he won’t flip a lid
Lucid is heartbreak to a woman
It is heart dust to a man crushed to plead
A moon ray in the absence of the sun
Sparkles a tear drop on his eyelid
When the world looks away he becomes human
Allows his tears to flow and dilute his bleeding
He knows crying a river killed no one
But bleeding a river did

Happy New Year, it’s time to fly,
Get together with others, chime,
Collect yourself and inwards cry,
Scream n’ shout at New Year’s time,
Pull down the old if need be,
Flare and dance, temper the won;
Mime, hold to ransom gaunt and Lei,
Astound the self, the gut n’ tonne.
Jig around the Christmas tree,
In the halls and pubs real bright,
Lights will own you, squint or glee,
‘Til surroundings become amie tight.
Happy New Year. Cheers to you all.

Beneath the fabled, innocent and polished mind
In a tinderbox wrapped up by an askant beldam’s hand
Above an unmarked grave that is welcoming, rather kind
A pair of eyes noticed a hue in the dunes of white sand.
Nom de Dieu! Shall we move forward as I amn’t uncivil,
Scarcely having been crude or a tad coarse,
Do not trap me in the cyclone of this swivel,
Do not tempt me with a sale on a second-grade bourse.
A gauche tongue displayed a tonne of venom
Is it just a gene that could not have kept it shut?
There is nothing more that destroys a character plenum
There is no pain anymore that felt like a punch in the gut.
Ohh Helen, this time a polemic won’t start a war
I originate in my own omphalos, in silence and solitude,
Driven by sheer desire to wear nothing more
Then my pallium until my last prelude.

Our eyes can’t hide
What a smile tries to cover inside
We drop to our knees to beg
On our knees we fall to wed
When you lose someone
Your half is gone, a burden comes worth a tonne
In the face of other love birds
Comes that sharp ruthless heart ache
You see the future you dreamt of
Pass by you on the sidewalk
Freeing a bird and letting it fly
Is painful but sometimes right
You think of your efforts and tries
But the bird’s chatters have turned out to be cries
It’s like a wind blew away the heart’s lace
Leaving it naked, cold and worthless
But what dwells in me is endless
Like the stretch of the Sahara ahead of you
Like a vast and wide sea of blue
Like the only time you can ever let go
It’s at the last tick of the clock
My memories are a fortress
For a love that is endless

I paid for your dreams you taught me to cry you watered my tears I drank from my eyes and I dont know why
why you aint mine
I came home last night started to sing out these feelings inside I try hard to see

Saw you in the nightclub was only a glimpse it hit me like a tonne of bricks caught up in this trip we didn't speak a word I dont think you saw me outside I had a missed call from you calling me and I dont wish to remember this I just wish to ride it through cos if its gonna get better than this it better happen soon

I'm sad to see the nature,
which is now in a torture.
It's bad for our future,
to spoil the beautiful nature.
The nature has a tree,
which can be planted for free.
But when we are free,
we don't think about planting a tree!
The nature has a sun,
when it shines; we have fun,
It looks similar as a bun,
and is larger than a tonne!
The nature has a moon,
which I'll be seeing soon.
Shorter are nights in June,
but I love the moon.
The nature has many stars,
that shine for many hours.
They shine in the night,
and there's very little light!
We should preserve the nature,
for our better future.
If we preserve the nature; I would be glad,
and then; I won't remain sad!

Wiltshire is a lovely place too be
A county with plenty of history
Neolithic rocks from north to south
You can even see a white horses mouth
With walks over undulating ground
Find the mystery of the giants mound
You can see where the soldiers train
On the expansive Salisbury Plain
With white horses carved into the hill
Walk around them enjoy the thrill
If you are not able to do the walks
Visit the heritage centers hear the talks
But if all else fails jump into the car
You can easily see them from afar
No queuing required and it's free
Come to Wiltshire and you will see
Stonehenge, Avebury stones too name but afew
I guarantee you will go phew
Ingenuity of the people before
Its amazing, it will not bore
Moving those rocks that weigh a tonne
Without machinery just father and son
Carving horses into those chalky hills
Showing us, all thier artistic skills
So visit Wiltshire and see these sights
Plenty to do from morning to night
Let the country air cover your face
Do this slowly it's not a race
Enjoy your trip to this county
Paradise Yes without the bounty
Meet the locals and have a chat
Enjoy a cider you can't beat that

The billycart we made, with pride in our hands,
We made with a juvenile fun,
Using 4b2 planks, and big iron wheels,
It weighed somewhere near to a tonne,
For the farm’s eroded driveway, both steep and direct,
Covered in sharp, slippery sand,
Leading straight down, to the shard concrete bridge,
Upon which we'd often crash land,
We didn't need, nor have, O.H. and S. cover,
Our safety plan was more or less hope,
And this was shown with the steering we made,
Out of old worn torn hessian rope.
When we were kids we got cut and we bled,
All the time, with no song and no dance,
We learnt, first hand, how to face a good risk,
How to laugh at danger, at hurt, at chance.
