Endless

Our eyes can’t hide What a smile tries to cover inside We drop to our knees to beg On our knees we fall to wed When you lose someone Your half is gone, a burden comes worth a tonne In the face of other love birds Comes that sharp ruthless heart ache You see the future you dreamt of Pass by you on the sidewalk Freeing a bird and letting it fly Is painful but sometimes right You think of your efforts and tries But the bird’s chatters have turned out to be cries It’s like a wind blew away the heart’s lace Leaving it naked, cold and worthless But what dwells in me is endless Like the stretch of the Sahara ahead of you Like a vast and wide sea of blue Like the only time you can ever let go It’s at the last tick of the clock My memories are a fortress For a love that is endless
