Naino se Dil tk

Dil ki baatein dil tak hi thi,
Ya phir meri baaton mein bhi uska dil tha?
Uske dil mein chhupa hua ek raaz tha,
Jo dil ki jagah naino ne bayan kar diya.

Uski aankhon mein ek kahani thi,
Jismein har lafz meri nishani thi.
Woh khamosh thi, par keh rahi thi bahut,
Uski chup bhi ek zubaani thi.

Uske chehre pe jo halki si jhalak thi,
Woh mere sawaalon ki chhuti kasak thi.
Jaise woh meri dhadkan ko sun rahi ho,
Jaise mere khwaabon ko chun rahi ho.

Meri baaton ka asar tha, ya sirf fizaa,
Uski har ada mein chhupa tha mazaa.
Par uski khamoshi mein chhupa ek darr tha,
Jaise woh khud se hi bekhabar tha.

Ab bhi sochta hoon, woh kya kehna chahti,
Kya uski nigaahein mujhe apna maanti?
Ya yeh sirf mera bharam tha, koi chhalawa,
Jismein main dooba, magar usne bachaya?

Kahani adhuri hai, na jaanoon main khud,
Kya uske dil ka safar tha yeh jud?
Par itna yakeen hai, woh ehsaas saccha tha,
Uski aankhon mein jhalka jo sapna tha.

      summer's hum, now here
      bamboo grows, the fountain flows
      orange tree, aglow

      shrubs silent today
      allowing flowers to sprout
      birds chirping away

Together We Stand

As time stretches like an elastic band 
I find it hard to lead silence by the hand 
the handles keep turning regardless of 
and the seconds keep fleeting my love 
One day the time clock will stop ticking 
then who knows what old age will bring
lets make the most of our time beloved 
for I know the road to life can be rugged 
But if we slow it down walk hand in hand 
then time can be ours etched in the sand   
lets make the years unfold as we planned 
living them joyfully, we can make a stand 
Let us be silent as two turtle doves in one 
soaring further then the stars and the Sun.

Tim Kinney's Pinky

I went to junior high school with Tim Kinney. 
His hair was long and unkempt-an aroma of the cheapest hemp.
He had metal taps on the bottom of his black leather boots.
Never carried a book or pen because it just wasn't cool.
He dated a ragged little blond from just over the tracks.
Was menacingly friendly to everyone including us outcasts.
He had black skulls and guns from his neck to his calf.  
His 2nd favorite girl branded {TK} on her tight little @ss...
or so it was said.
But by far the coolest thing about Tim Kinney.
Is that he was missing the end of his right pinky.
and like a Japanese gangster, never said a damn thing.

Planetiary Consummation

Let me touch the milky way and finger each star
Hear the sounds of the universe within your palms
Hold close clay earth to simple string
Strum a song for me
Sing the words of wolves to moon
Or ocean to moon 
Or under the sun 
Allowing me to glow in your presence

This is complete out of body experience
Where for the first time we rise above
This materialistic form 
We form on ours lips
That drips
Into the bigger dipper
Praising God for our Union
This holy space, outside of time
Before light can even catch up
Our prayers travel faster
We give thanks and break apart
Rocks in the coldest parts 
Till they than unname us (Pluto reference)

Play a simple song for a simple man
That understands he doesn't claim you
Or own you
Or owe this borrowed time we spend together in an eternity called moments
He just wishes to unite a melody the stars
Can fall too
Love can fall too
Don't worry about being caught
Just wish with all your heart 
As we come back down to reality

My Georgia Peach

You called me yesterday and made my day...
Isn't it great to be in love this way?

The first thing in the morning and the last thing at night...
The picture of you in my mind is never out of sight.

I smell your perfume and I begin to smile...
The thoughts of you are all worth while.

I try to work but you're always on my mind...
Without a doubt you're my greatest find.

Love will make you younger-this I know...
Because people are telling me I am looking younger wherever I go.

I feel your presence too and that's a good sign...
Without a doubt you are my greatest find.

Monday to Friday can be a drag...
But Saturday and Sunday on you I brag.

A walk in the park or a day at the beach..
I love spending time with my Georgia Peach.

The first thing in the morning and the last thing at night...
Thoughts of you bring a pleasant delight.

It's a special joy to be enjoying life...
And it's all made possible by my wonderful wife.

Our Backyard Neighbors

We have the nicest neighbors in our backyard...
They're kind and friendly and all work hard.

They're such a joy, such a delight...
And their presence is always such a welcomed sight.

There are blue birds, robins, cardinals and a blue jay or two...
And lest I forget a pesky squirrel too.

Their chatter and contribution to our environment is beyond compare...
And they add so much joy whenever they are there.

We love our birds and that pesky squirrel too...
A they add such a blessing to me and you.

The sparrows always line up to eat...
And watching the doves land is always neat.

We have the nicest neighbors who visit us each day...
It's fun to watch our special neighbors eat and play.

Football 2017

It's now that time of the year when no one is in the stands...
And there are groans and wishes from anxious football fans.

The players are at the beach working on their tans...
And coaches are huddling making upcoming game plans.

It won't be long before the whistle will blow...
And another football season will be on the go.

We eager fans can hardly wait...
And we'll be buying tickets and standing at the gate.

It's hard to believe that it's about to begin...
So here hoping that you and your team will have no losses only wins.

I appreciate the impact that your hard work makes...
But i Know the price that effort takes.

Wishing you,your staff and the team the best for 2017...
May this be the best team your fans have ever seen.

Your Race

" Does it matter", I heard someone say...
" Does it matter if I live another day?"

Does it matter-Yes it does...
It matters because that's not the way it was.

You matter to someone no matter what you say...
And because of that it matters if you live another day.

So take a deep breath and thank God for His loving grace...
Then get back in line and run your race.

There is a special place in this world that only you can fill...
Your presence brings comfort and helps to heal.

So open your eyes and find your place...
There are lives to touch as you run your race.

Spectacular

It finally dawned on me one day that God really is in charge...
I see it in the small things as well as in the large.

I feel it in my laughter and I feel it when I cry...
I feel in my heart when I see a rainbow in the sky.

I see it in the heavens when the moon is bright above...
And I see it in the face of someone who is falling in love.

God really is in charge and I see it every day...
And it becomes even more evident the closer to Him I stay.

So,if God is in charge,He has us where we are...
And just keep doing what you're doing and let God be spectacular.

In Awe of a Friend

A mother,a grand-mother and a great- grand mother too,,,
A lot of influence through the years has flowed through you.

You have built a legacy as the years have gone by...
And the influence you have had will never die.

Few people have done what you have done...
And fewer still have had your fun.

You have a mind that is sharp as a tack...
And you're full of vim and vigor and that's a fact.

So I tip my hat because I am blessed to have a friend like you...
I stand in awe of the greatness of you.

Where You Are

Sometimes we sit and wait for some great deed that we may do...
Hoping for something that will inspire and motivate you.

I guess we have the great desire to shine a light that will travel far...
That would be nice, but we can brighten the corner where we are.

Greet every person you meet with a lively smile...
A sincere smile can be effective for a country mile.

That person down the street who is always sour and dour...
Why not make an appointment and give them a leisurely hour.

It would be nice to make a difference that reaches wide and far...
But brothers and sisters, just brighten the corner where you are!

Anger

Sometimes anger appears unwanted in our heart...
And the poison it brings doesn't seem to want to depart.

It appears from out of the blue and bursts into the mind,,,
And changes our attitudes that used to be kind.

It can affect everything you think and do..
Anger can be a destructive emotion that can destroy you.

The state of our heart we need to guard each day...
By carefully guarding our heart we can keep a lot
of misery from coming our way.

Sour moods bring misery and gloom...
And with poison in our system it's hard to bloom.

So guard your heart with diligence each day...
And better moods will guide your way.
