As time stretches like an elastic band
I find it hard to lead silence by the hand
the handles keep turning regardless of
and the seconds keep fleeting my love
One day the time clock will stop ticking
then who knows what old age will bring
lets make the most of our time beloved
for I know the road to life can be rugged
But if we slow it down walk hand in hand
then time can be ours etched in the sand
lets make the years unfold as we planned
living them joyfully, we can make a stand
Let us be silent as two turtle doves in one
soaring further then the stars and the Sun.
