Where You Are

Sometimes we sit and wait for some great deed that we may do...
Hoping for something that will inspire and motivate you.

I guess we have the great desire to shine a light that will travel far...
That would be nice, but we can brighten the corner where we are.

Greet every person you meet with a lively smile...
A sincere smile can be effective for a country mile.

That person down the street who is always sour and dour...
Why not make an appointment and give them a leisurely hour.

It would be nice to make a difference that reaches wide and far...
But brothers and sisters, just brighten the corner where you are!
