flu like symptoms

yesterday I had flu-like symptoms
let the aches and pains consume me
slid into the misery with gusto
laid away the day in a recliner
sometimes alternating to the couch
I was not human, I was a sickly whickly
feeling sorry for myself, and yet,
resting profusely, odd for me

withdrawal symptoms yesterday

my comrades are asleep
i love this
gives me a writing opportunity

no painting

blood sluggish

Looks like from the latest news
Covid symptoms not the same
The old ones have lost interest
So put new ones in the game

At first it took your breath away
And gave you quite a fever
Showed up in the old folks
The over sixties were receivers

Those with pre-conditions
Were the most prone of the lot
So we shut down
