Dozens of glass pieces glittered all over the floor.
A photo of their
wedding day lay bare between her feet.
She felt its nakedness warping it
gently in the soft breeze breeze,
blowing from her mother-in-law’s room. It was
an omen. She painstakingly collected
all the pieces, and meticulously
joined them together with superglue.
Once again the photo was vacuumed
away from the sands of time.
The bonding though, looked as though it was
disintegrating.

Tongue in cheek - Tongue-in-cheek describes an exaggerated facial gesture — pushing a cheek out with one's tongue — meant to convey contempt or irony. (defined by vocabulary.com)
Tongue in Cheek-The Grind
the grind, prefer dark;
shifting teeth do not agree -
the worst habit, under moon.
squeeze a tube of paste.
superglue the parts to each -
only metaphorically.

Divorce robbed him of surprise,
left him disused,
parts of his brain tingled less,
he grew blasé, he had to improvise,
extemporize parts
that were less prone to rust and mold.
It seemed he was a bare broom,
one that could no longer sweep away
a rising sense of purposeless.
Then it was that a new surprise found him,
he began to make yesteryear trinkets
knickknacks held together
with a duct-taped nostalgia.
Walking sticks and old-school picket fences
were carved from the bones of his memory.
Other doohickeys such as
paperweights for light-headed ideas,
or knickknacks to fill in
those awkward holes in people’s lives.
Success returned, so did a new wife.
She had a lever, a jack,
to hydraulicly lift him up
when he occasionally sagged.
She used superglue on all his loose bits.
It’s wonderful what a new lick of paint can do.

waiting in the silence
for the energy to run aground
yet what flotsam the surf gives up
it will have to keep
i always jetsom, i never lagan
Humpty Dumty, friends with superglue
are not always reality
reality does not always adhere
reality does not care
your freedom, illusions of the amaranth
i have no simpleton delusions, imagoes
i am afraid death the anodyne
eventually, every star consumes itself
Nemesis, my knowing smile
Ate, your mentor
she is behind the mirror waiting
as all ephemerals, you bore me
i enjoy the diestrus
remembering the notches, using other's vanities
every Blackwidow deserves a prince

Stumbling through school
a ‘kick me’ sign on her back
toilet paper stuck to her shoe
with superglue
Told to be silent unless spoken to
and never fight back against the
bullies putting bubblegum in her hair
Threatening to beat her
in the bathroom
Sitting in the broken chair
falling to the floor
ending up on her ass
No one lends a hand as they pass
leaving her like the Levite
giggling like goons
at the free lunch girl
in the thrift store dress
the holes in the soles of her sandals
patched with duct tape
Spending her days lost in the library
reading Shakespeare’s plays
instead of milling around the mall
Strolling in the cemetery
singing old songs
She feels safe there
for the dead don’t laugh
and call her nasty names
Lofty dreams in her head
that will never come true
I see it all in those eyes of blue
though the photographer
had told me to smile

The things that the school jokester would do
There’s times he almost turned the air blue
He would moon when in class:
Which was not a class act
And pee over the seats in the loo.
His toy rat ran all over the floor
The teacher screamed and ran out the door
A rat-catcher then came
Found out who was to blame
And boy jokester was heard of no more.

Who tried mending everything with superglue
Now this is quite yucca
Got some in his cuppa
He was stuck for words in an interview

Some big people ride trikes too!
Dangerous, could wind up black and blue
Drivers patience, not much
When we hear a big crunch
Lying on the pavement, needing superglue

Moo
It bounced down my street like a mad thing on heat
Or a kangaroo doing a trick
The farmer that blocked it was knocked off his feet
By his cow on an old pogo stick
So a cow on a pogo stick bounced down my street
The footrests weren't right for her hooves
So they're welded with superglue onto her feet
Which is okay so long as she moves
But you can’t stand still on a pogo stick
Cos if you do you will fall over
So she bounced on her stick and she went quite a lick
As the farmer pursued her to dover
She hopped on a ferry, they thought she was merry
As she did her mechanical ballet
She said she had nary so much as a sherry
And she promised to hop off at Calais
A shift of the rudder made the ship shudder
Our cow made a messy mistake
Thanks to that judder she jiggled an udder
And sprayed half the deck with milk shake
Her strange bouncy dance continued in France
Until the old farmer arrived
A touch of sedation and glue separation
Meant our bouncy bovine survived

To my heroes with rainbow eyes,
You brought color back to my world,
You rescued me from my demise.
To my blue haired sprite,
Who took my shattered soul and said,
“It’s cool, I have superglue”,
And made sure I never left a single shard behind.
To my green eyed puck,
Spilling everyone’s tea,
And is unabashedly herself,
Cracks and all.
And to my ever smiling Seraph,
A gift from la Grande Madre,
The yin to my yang,
The moon to my ocean,
The lifeblood of my still beating heart.
To my wayward sisters,
Always by my side,
Renewing my hope,
Destroying anger, fear, and loss,
Instilling faith, love, and peace,
Seeking the light in this dark world.
In sisterhood we stand,
Maybe it was meant to be,
Perfect they are not,
Aware of the pain that festers in the past,
Living in fields sown with salt,
A pillar of flame in the storm of life.

Form: I do not know?
A clumsy young lady named Tess
Spilt superglue over her dress
She got stuck to her seat
Said words I’ll not repeat
Then undressed to escape the mess
Tess stood in her nude underwear
Male colleagues did nothing but stare
She’d removed her new dress
And one guy did confess
They secretly hoped she was bare

Where
Where would I find a smile like this
Her loving warmth and loving kiss
Where would I find a smile like this
My every need my heavenly bliss
Where would I find a smile like this
Her presents i would surely miss
Where would I find a smile like this
Nowhere else, as nothing else exists
Where would I find a smile like this
There are no doubts , no others to dismiss
Where would I find someone like you
The things that you can get me through
Where would I find someone like you
We stick together like superglue
Where would I find someone like you
To find someone with love so true
Where would I find someone like you
The best person that I ever knew
Where would I find someone like you
We go together like conditioner and shampoo
Where would I find such a wonderful wife
I couldn’t even if I searched all my life

You see me , I see you
You make me feel like Spring is due
My veins explode
My blood pours through
Waited all my life for a girl like you
Now we're together
Stuck like superglue
Your beautiful face
So fresh, So new
Your perfect dimples
So part of you
We just understand each other
Never no hullabaloo
Because dearest
You see me ,I see you

Forever and a Day
While the stars give light
And the moon is bright,
My heart will belong to you,
Stuck like superglue.
I'll love you forever and a day,
Until the 32nd of May.
While the sun shines warm
And there's no alarm
I'll look at our pictures and cry,
Thinking of the past wirh a sigh.
I'll remember you forever and a day,
Until the 32nd of May.
While the river flows fast
And shadows are cast,
I'll remember your warm smile
And your amazing style.
I'll miss you forever and a day,
Until the 32nd of May.
While the stars give light
And the moon is bright,
My heart will belong to you,
Stuck like superglue.
I'll love you forever and a day,
Until the 32nd of May.
