Legos, crayons, yo-yo’s, shells,
Key chains, postcards, notes from camp,
Magnifying glasses, tokens
And a clip-on bedside lamp…
Action figures, racing cars,
Sticker books and rubber snakes,
Pez dispensers, memo pads and
Statuettes with cracks and breaks…
Baseball cards and ping-pong balls,
Loose erasers, sweatbands, dice -
Most would take a glance and toss ‘em,
Never even thinking twice.
Going through my kids’ old treasures,
That is what I try to do
And, though progress has been made,
It will be hours before I’m through.
See dazzling bowls and vessels, pots of brass
Old copper kettles, cups of gold, and chiming clock
Porcelain statuettes, fake Tiffanies, stained glass
Oak storage towers, ivories of High Baroque
Stroll down the antiques on Sunday noon
I’m fascinated by the scarab sooty bronze
I lost my face inside the silver spoon
In tapestries of life, with nymphs and fauns
We’ve changed, in this abundance of disclosure
Now I’m a voluntary slave on remnant sale
That figurine of steadfast tin soldier
Ready to burn for nothing in your tale.
Lava stiletto lips
drips Medusa kisses
transmitting stone corpse aperitifs
she slithetrs hither on
out of night sways of
narcoleptic nuptial napkins
snake strand locks of love
conceal couquettic tenderizing
fetish fantasies of climactic
carnivorous copulations.
Leviathan legs of boa bondage
clench my every clandestine thrunch.
Gonad groundswells of deep droning
desires-immersive of Eden's ego, forgo
an all atoned, permissable persuasions,
passions primitive, albeit death defying
defamations. I thus conclude a deciduous
daunting demise driven by perennial postulates
and hormonal harassed hecticals capturing
coital consequences, feverently focused,
freely formed frailties, neatly nestled,
innately interred, individually invested
by human happenstance helpings of
hepatic herbs of mythological memories
measured in manmade miniature statuettes
cold carved into rejuvenating relics
of our own Rock of Ages intent.
Morning smiles and there we move forward
Into the sunrise, gazing lovingly
My mind does a relentless flash toward
To your lips smiling quite impulsively
You then squeeze your warm hand in alliance
And your mind wants to till earth vividly
As I appreciate your bright vibrance
In the air that cools you impetuously
You cultivate the shy spring flowers
That would excite a garden's statuettes
Your strength in agrarian willpower
Follows light into mighty golden sunsets
This quest for your nature remains spacious
While the new sensations grow in stages
There's this chart as formula in making a movie you see....
Ever being adjusted brought abreast unto her times and here
We are amid the twenty-first century silver pears cherry squares
Taking notes casting votes statuettes bell tower pets his writers tea ?
Crunching numbers computers quiz shake your glass; green back dreams.
