Love walks away...
Day-in day-out on what heart wants,
Leading astray...
What heart needs, hurting what lust flaunts
Against heart's will;
Tomorrow shall find out the best,
Lust don't run still
To sustain beast; a trying test
That locks up joy,
Of unrest gauge- swinging heart's eyes
Like a playboy,
Whose smartness can't hang up late sighs
Wandering near love,
Enough to beat tricks; lust employs.
Quest seems a dove-
Taking love down on track, hade poise!
What is love's stake,
If life ends all dreamy heart, wished?
Lust brings such ache...
Upon all love builds long vanished!
Yet hope stands firm,
To conscious choice of what love hate.
Running off term;
All day long till nonsense negate
Lustful hope's time,
Reaching for timing, love would stop
Heart rating crime
Love negate towards been the top.

I'm using this poem to explain,
How it is, I personally feel,
Living in this modern world today,
Speaking my truth, raw and real.
Even at my age I've seen,
Such a devastating amount of change,
But the fact we're still declining,
Is what I find most strange.
A colossal rise in living costs,
No sign of it going down,
Zero trust left in any leaders,
From the government to the crown.
The peoples voices have been silenced,
Too afraid to speak their mind,
Nothing but corrupt commanders in charge,
Acting selfish, forgetting to be kind.
I'm now living in a world,
It's shamefully popular to be fake,
Forever fighting over religion and money,
Putting our childrens future at stake.

we don’t think that he can beat Trump
we can’t send him out on the stump
cuz it’s all about
the way in and way out
We'll just put Nancy’s boot in his rump

I’ve observed that one’s big mistake
Ties others to as big a stake
And an all-the-time “Time to drink!”
Enough to a vibrant mind shrink:
A mistake to tell “Get out, Snake!”
And duly fear like a dark lake…
I’ve noticed: one’s daily night walk
A reason for foe to one stalk;
Certainly, not for a sweet talk:
For a fight he might mark with chalk!
You should know: every wedding cake
Multiplies bags of flour we make;
Marriage hurt when scarcity fake:
Bride and bridegroom pay more and rake.
I’ve discerned it: one looks much old,
When wife now makes of one Cuckold:
It’s face that begins to fold
Now stammers from the once-bold.

From time to time sets a bait,
Her patience she makes sure wait;
Over issues would she skate:
In sweet words the tempting state
And seek to mask thy sad fate!
It is not spurious her bet;
Her marked gift is a glass plate:
Something surely at real stake;
Time for you to right steps take,
Kate's to-be-voiced favors fake!
So, now it's clearly a bait,
You should not naively wait.
Kate you meet for an asked date
But sure make you are damned late,
Never using her front gate...
If, at last, it proved a bait,
'Very poor' should men rate Kate.
You to stop calling her classmate
You once borrowed her black slate...
Also ripe time to Kate hate...

It's a pity to know
That you give away the city;
not out of courtesy for the need
but for the currency out of greed.
One day you will repent
running behind money;
cutting your ties with a knife
drifting away from your honey
being alone in life.
You will cry in dry
No one won't even wave you a bye
or offer you a fish in a dish
It's never too late to realise
That you have a sweet mate
In an ounce of penny
you'll be pounced
as your haughtiness will get bounced
Don't feel flattered;
Else your pride will get shattered!
You'll be shake off by a rake
Your greed will take you on streets
Your end will be in a dig with a pig!

Schooling life- a main pursuit to learn,
Is surrounded by various impairments:
As much as catching fun-fill cruises, spurn!
Easier said than done- taking the right turn;
Good enough to measure apt adjustments,
Schooling life- a main pursuit to learn.
Goals avoid suffering consequential burn;
Been on phone longer than reading confronts-
As much as catching fun-fill cruises, spurn!
Aims widen scopes to balance grades concern
"Phone-'let there be light;' book- darkness affronts"
Schooling life- a main pursuit to learn.
Objectives object what football games yearn,
Both on field and view centre attachments,
As much as catching fun-fill cruises, spurn!
Late night matches during exams, pattern
Crying-read sleepy eyes' grace advancements...
Schooling life-a main pursuit to learn,
As much as catching fun-fill cruises, spurn!

Oh editor are you?
Stake not your holy mark
You red pen though inclined
No critics... do embark
Better join with me
In holy food be fed
that we might join together and find
the joyous triumphs bed

Trawling graveyards might not sound like fun,
she’ll never stop ‘til her mission is done.
With her trusty wooden stake,
life from the dead she can take -
hunting night creatures ‘til she feels the sun.

What’s at stake, as this dream unfolds
Observe each thought ripple
From behind the veil, soul beholds
The complex made simple
Distanced from ego’s lies
Feel bliss magnetism rise
As life’s offered surprise
Fear forsake
What’s at stake

So I rise out of my timid state;
Hurrying my creative slate;
Pondering my missions sake;
Witnessing my season break;

The Stake
by Michael R. Burch
Love, the heart bets,
if not without regrets,
will still prove, in the end,
worth the light we expend
mining the dark
for an exquisite heart.
