Premium MemberTune of the City

The city sings a tune
Around half past noon
The sound of jazz
Always makes me swoon
Like a total spaz

Intricately layered notes
Over blue skies and boats
I sat there awhile
It was cold so people wore coats
But I loved the style

Look in the eye of the sky
The clouds dance and don't ask why
The music consumes my soul
And brings a tear to my eye
In that moment I feel whole

Premium MemberGirl Gone Gladiator

She opens the DSM-5 to page 666,
Know Thyself,
who among us is not a Beast somehow,
she's enthralled by Imperfection,
It explains the scars on her heart,
if she believed in Perfection
then she would need to accept her own nature
unequivocally,
she would have to love every part of herself,
poetry is her therapy
building puzzles her bliss
solving puzzles her passion,
she is a madwoman in the 3rd degree,
a sensational spaz
believes that she is a heroine among the herd,
starlet atop a soapbox
cavalier with her cross of crass sass,
she cares too much to be free...
searching in the trauma of souls
for her own ghost
lovestruck by the Devil's lightning
Godsmacked by the grind
listening for God to apologize,
she's exhausted by cynicism
brilliant yet bitter,
a cutthroat competitor,
frozen beauty in a flame,
she expects Life to buck her every day
a jaded girl looking for the grim,
on stormy days she sings to the static
perhaps she's waiting for the Apocalypse -

Way Back When Lingo

Way Back When Lingo! (Slang from the 1970's)

The '70's were way back when,
Once we were young,
the 70's had just begun...
There were hits that were around,
when we were all closer to the ground...

I was a dorky classroom teacher,
Like being a gross lay preacher,
For all the little chicks and dudes,
Who had to sit on it in primary school,
"Get real!" I'd say to them,
They answered back, "Ahem,
Up your nose with a rubber hose!"
When I'd asked them to write some prose.
They were in my face all day,
Can you dig it? Then they'd say,
"Dorky, don't chuck a spaz,
We're really not that bad.
Keep on truckin', Art is groovy!"
Didn't have a VCR for movies.
"Maths is sick!" they'd shriek,
"We're not perfect little geeks!'
"Awe, sooky sooky la la,"
I'd say, "Extra homework, ha ha ha!
Right on, looooking gooood..."
"Dream on, dorky, there's the bell!"
"Good night, John boys!" I'd yell.
"That's sick!" "Catch you tomorrow."
Hometime was no sorrow.
"Catch you on the flip side,"
As they ran outside,
"Don't go bananas at us!!!!"

Now we're old, why did I fuss?
Once we were all so young,
When the '70's had just begun.

Spaz

 Going around and around
 Throughout every single room,
Like a cyclone spinning out of control,
Without a single trace of visible fur,
As stripes of gray and cream
 Collide into the biggest vahroom,
She come to a screeching halt.

She hops from windowsill to windowsill
 Only to find the most comfortable spot;
But instead, she's determined to climb the draperies
 Until they all drop.
 She pounces on your feet,
 Leaps in the air,
And lands so gracefully, in your seat.

She's a little ball of fire,
 With so much energy
Who doesn't know how to stop.
She has developed quire a personality.
 She's just a baby.
 She's not even three.

 That's Spaz.

Urban Dervishes

Tattoo arms,felony charges.

He found a woman after prison who also had a
nine year old child.

Spaz mother

tongue choker

saber rattler

thrill shooter.

she fell in love with a desert and was
thirsty forever.

he kissed her passionately in between
her screams and yells.

another brand of savagery flushing into
armed chivalry.
a cryptic bridge stood over her blood.

hunger floats the love abuse can only give.

welcome to the home
of the reliable witness.

Losing My Mind

At a time in my life when things are quite rough
I try to think of all the happy and joyful stuff
But NO, fate comes and bites me right in my ass
I hold all feelings in, I don't flinch, I don't spaz.

What have I done? Besides try to overcome
The hardship of life and be a hard-working son
Full of talent? Yea right, I seem more like a waste
To bring burden to a family and bring regret and haste

The timing calls for a 'Time of Desperation'
So I've put myself into Isolation!
The safest place is to the side
Still in the open there is no use or place to hide!

My last cry out in sadness came in September of last year
Never have I cried so long so hard, I think I ran out of tears.
God as my witness, I will continue on injured and strong
Yes this journey that is life, is treacherous and long!
