Premium MemberForgive Me

For sometimes stealing
too much of twilight, leaving you
waiting up with worry.
For sometimes not leaving the kitchen
as immaculately clean as you left it.
Should I hurt or disappoint you,
whether I realize it or not.
Should an entire day steal away
without hearing me say..."I love you."
Forgive me, sweetheart.

For all my sins, mistakes; failing
to keep "It won't happen again" promises.
For sometimes taking undue advantage
of your inherent benevolence.
For often failing to meet you
halfway, all the way; not praying
as often as I should.
For sometimes falling short
of your expectations of me,
Forgive me, Lord. Amen.

Premium MemberYour Angry Heart

Please let it go , your angry heart.
The blame was mine, I played a part
I truely believed, at the start.
But life got in the way
Unaligned on our starstruck chart
My love could not hold sway

We always seek to understand
Not knowing what cruel fate has planned
And sometimes dreams just crash and land
As I was soon to find
Our love was like the sleight of hand
A trick that made me blind

Forgive me please for causing pain
I never meant our love to wane
I pray you find such joy again
And suffer Cupids dart
A love so strong it will sustain
And heal your angry heart

Pardon me, is that your toe
I just had nowhere else to go

Excuse me, ma’am, I lost my footing
That’s why your dress is full of pudding

Oh, so sorry, you must be furious
I only touched you ‘cos I’m curious

Sir, I really forgot how tomatoes squirt
‘Til I saw the mess on your shirt

And please forgive me 1,000 times over
I thought you’d love my pit bull, Rover

Premium MemberThe Penitent

Not so hard to repent
    Don't mind if I do
  for the fabric I've rent
    in my relationship with you

I'm so sorry, please forgive me
    I'll never hurt you again
How's that? ... Mere words, you say
Just so ~ A woman who understands men

Premium MemberSorry

I'm sorry for the things I said,
That cut so deep, I wish I'd fled.
Forgive me, please, and let me mend,
My heart, my soul, and this divide, to spend
A peaceful moment, free of strife,
And set aside these feelings of life.

I'm sorry for the pain I caused,
The hurtful words that made you pause.
I regret my wrongs and want to start,
A new path, one without a broken heart.

My apologies I offer to thee,
For the wrongs I've done, so carelessly.
I hope that you can find it in your heart,
To forgive me and a new start to start.

Premium Member-Without Intent

To the ones I love in this world
There is something l need to share
We all unknowingly in life have caused hurt
Totally oblivious and unaware

So, If I have ever done you wrong
And did not realise
Please forgive me
I am here to apologise

I am sorry if I unknowingly let you down
Or my words were too direct
If I caused disappointment
Sadness or neglect

I would never intentionally hurt another
I do not possess the mean gene
Though if I have without intent
I’m truly sorry… lets wipe the slate clean!

Premium MemberI Am Sorry But

I am sorry that I sat on your cat and squashed it to smithereens
But I lost a bet, so I had to do it. Not my fault really.

I apologize for being late, but there were cows in the road.
I am truly feeling bad for hurting your feelings, but I cannot stop my words.

I hope you will accept my apology for lying to you.
It is what everyone does in my family, and I like to fit in every so often.

Please forgive me for spreading that rumor about you.
I know this is no excuse, but I heard a lot worse before I threw in this one.

I am sorry that I lied and stole and betrayed your trust.
But it is your fault for being too dhramned naïve.

Premium MemberPride

All I've ever accumulated was
    pride
Everything I've accomplished was
     me by my side.
I gave praise to me, my beauty,
    my knowledge and my
        skills,
I sought out the praise from
others, and boy was it a
       thrill.
I challenge anyone who thought
    they were better than
       me,
No one stepped up, as far as
    my eyes could see.
For I only saw me, myself
    and I,
I'd prospered quickly, I had
    multiplied.
But then life fell hard on me,
It's the kind of thing that
    brings you quickly to
       your knees.
I stood with nothing, not even
    pride,
I lower my head in shame, I closed
    my eyes.
I said in a whisper because I felt
    so ashamed,
"Please forgive me in
    Jesus' name."

In the busy day lit crashing; So sorry I am Lord God; Vigorously relinquishing the dawn; I am a deserter ashamed My Father; So sorry I am Lord God; I talk to my Father; Holy Forgiver of my dire sins; Loudly in my soul, quietly I speak; So sorry I am Lord God; I am sorry, God for mine transgressions; I am quietly caressing those whispers repentance; I am sorrowful; In private forgive-me, Lord God throughout. Premium MemberMy Last Words

my true love, why did you leave me this way
My heart will only fill now with sorrow
and no! I will not, look to where you have gone
I will not prepare for tomorrow

It has come to me, what last words I would say
as I lie here awake, as the night froze
the warmth taken from my heart this day
not to return as the new morn sun arose

I am sorry my love, that I feel this way
but now all alone, my mind it just roams
carry my thoughts to a place I may be
where I hope to feel loved and I am home

there is not one word, I could ever be told
take away a love, I will forever hold
the silence of your leaving was too soon to be
my last words, please forgive me

Premium MemberSorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word

Yesterday I was on such a high
Today I just want to sit and cry
Why did I say that cutting word?
Forgive me please I’m just a bird

Sometimes we misinterpret what’s been said
We get it wrong it’s all in our head
Saying sorry is really really hard
What was said caught me off guard

You’ve been really good to me
Helping to set my spirit free
Good times I hope we can still share
I write these words because I care

Premium MemberThe Darkness At Noon

Allow me to climb thirteen steps in peace
As you leave, look back show me no sorrow
For these dark gallows will soon take my life
Innocence cares not, for my tomorrows

A final kiss, these hands growing colder
Forgive me each day winds caress your skin
And think of me warmly, as you grow older
Show no tears, as I will see you again

Let me say , until and never forget
So I may leave you now, without fear
Having tasted your lips for the last time
Know this, I'll be with you always my dear
Up each step I'll hear the sound of your heart
I'll whisper I love you, as I depart
