Sorrowfully Poems

No More War

No More War

Marching boots echo
no birds sing in the
shattered valleys.

Children’s toys buried
beneath the smoking ruins
where are they ?

Flags wave in triumph,
but mothers get folded notes
instead of sons.

Steel birds above us
drop fire with no memory
earth weeps sorrowfully

A soldier's last breath
drifts with dust into the wind
nameless in the dark.
.
No victor remains
when the fields are filled with blood
only ghosts rejoice.

Old men talk of pride,
But young men vanish into mud
history forgets and forget

Rain falls on helmets,
drowning cries beneath the mud
the war will never end.

In a child’s drawing,
the sun bleeds behind barbed wire
innocence erased forever

The earth spins once more —
blossoms rise from ash and bone,
whispering, “No more.”

Ignorant Indulgence

Juicy Couture
Juicy Couture
Dont make ish like this no more

Bring back good fashion
SHEIN is tired
Wool, silk, linens
Put polyester in a fire

The fads have faded
Trends are tired
Give us proper clothes
Our situation is dire

This waste, this consumption
Our society is plagued
This greed, this hunger
Buying through guilt and rage

A human hole
Fill it with stuff
Emotions take hold
Fill it with fluff

No depth
Less dimension
Sorrowfully empty
Riddled with tension

It tugs, it pulls
Waits for your truth
It gnaws, it scream
Be the sleuth

No one can understand
First, you must learn
Self-discovering journey
Then peace you will earn

No hole, only hope
No greed, but gratitude
Find yourself chanting
No woes, but platitudes

Their tales old as time
Hold truth in every rhyme
Follow a life of your design

Don't believe it?

This is the sign.

We Are Here

We are here sorrowfully happy
We are here crying and smiling
We are Rich only on TV
We are Rich only on newspapers.

Where are they says the leaders
Give them the remnants to eat
They deserves a natural glass of wine
And something to take as protein.

We are here living happily happy
With our swollen faces smiling
Lest we appear wretched on TV
Wearing rags with tissue papers.

Cleaning the toilets of our leaders
Inorder to afford bread to eat
We drank their pee as wine
And ate their poop for protein.

Serenade of the Sea 03-11-23

Under the dark high flying clouds
resides the forgotten home of loneliness.
Its gnarly whispers of welcome, cold
colder than the sea.

Yes on this faint moonlit beach
the icy sea laps and sings gently,
so gently
as if your fingers are running through my hair
and the wind is your voice.

The wind wails sorrowfully of broken promises
and the sea, it breaks and collapses
flooding the beach with its salted tears.

But nevermind all that,
for the sun must rise
and the day must follow suite, though,
even when I open my eyes
I admit that I cannot forget you.

Premium MemberAs Another Petal Falls

Last week I cut a bouquet of flowers
from my garden and now they’re withering.
It fills me with melancholy memories
about a time when my love was new
and gently flowed within my heart.

Time between bud to bloom and death
of the once velvet petals has come too soon.
I've watched their bright colors fade
and frowned when some fell away.
It's as if their drooping faces
means their heartbeat is slowing down.

I sighed when in twilight's lavender embrace,
another petal fluttered to the floor.
I'm reminded of the childhood daisy game
and think, Will the last petal fall
as I whisper, "He loves me not?"

I hope it gently descends without grief,
but no relief will I find in its departing.
How I will mourn when at last, it dies,
leaving me with the sense of another loss.
I've held on as long as a bloom to its stem.
In the mayhem of life, I've had reason to sigh.

Memories linger inside my heart,
although my love and I have grown apart.
I am recalling each beautiful year
of the love we once had and then lost.
A tear for each one, I sorrowfully cried.
In despair, I will softly whisper goodbye
and weep as the last wilted petal falls.

OUR CLIMATE HAS CHANGED FOR EVER

When I was a child
I thought like a child
Now that im a full bloomed adult
My thinking must change

I grew up thinking
That early rains will
Start falling in February
And there will be a break
Sometime in August

But now the story is different
Our rains this year
Started early
In the month of May
Year 2024
And the rains took a break
Later in the month of July
Year 2024

When I asked the old weatherman
What could be responsible
For this sudden change
He just smiled
and looked at me sorrowfully
what he said next
sent shock waves down my spine
he said son
our climate has changed for ever

WE GOBBLED GOATS CHEESE

WE GOBBLE GOAT’S CHEESE

Scales of justice weighed in gold and coal
cherubs and demons cheer without fear
horns blow, rooms gather fat

Coaxing a grey Persian cat
climb stairs of glamour
or disillusioned clamour

Heads dance across Florentine floor
joy shiver silent at a wooden door
hazardous stealth the cunning core

Roti fry in sesame oil to serve
with Côté D’ Or, everything coiled
drops of champagne sorrowfully soil

Chameleons cut own coloured flesh
hiding wounds wry waistcoated breasts
Botox gone awry, confess !

Scales dramatise to legitimise
two platters evenly plead
weighing a crafty compromise

We gobble goat’s cheese
celebration up in a breeze

Twisted Words

The winds mourn,
the trees sways sorrowfully,
and the bones cries within.
It's grief.
The ache is too much to bear,
like a mountain upside down,
piercing my heart.
It's grief.
Where am I?
Where should I go,
and who should I seek?
Lost.
I tripped and blood flowed,
like rivers in my leg.
But no tears was in existence.
Despair.
But I still stand,
I still walk.
But, a question I have for myself.
Should I choose to fall,
or should I choose, to fall?

Premium Member'separation' - the Art of Edvard Munch

When love is torn asunder and there is nothing left but dissent,
a lover's heart will be shattered, mortally wounded and rent.
In a relationship that was once held as sacred and eternal,
sorrow takes a heavy toll on the one left behind, and infernal
flames of grief scorch the lonely heart so that it must dwell,
suffering in what seems like the fiery abyss of emotional hell.

Forlorn the man when his once-upon-a-time love went astray,
and became a wraith without a face. She refused to stay.
Dressed in bridal gown, perhaps she seeks a new marriage mate,
a man who will please her instead of treating her like a roommate.
She looks forward to a brighter future than one she's left behind,
wondering why she married him. How could she have been so blind?

Could it be there's another side to the separation of two lovers?
In death she was buried in a white shroud. Sorrowfully, he hovers.
A bouquet of crimson flowers he's brought to leave at her grave
but he cannot bear to look at the tomb. Today, he's not that brave.
Ghostlike she appears to him, a wispy figure, floating in the mist.
He's haunted by memories of the lips he'd passionately kissed.

Is It Ever Truly

It was to my ear
You whispered,
But felt to my heart.
It was to my lips
You kissed,
But felt to my soul.

I wish if you could
Be there,
To grow old with me
And is still yet to be.
Things are still left
To be done.
But, sorrowfully!
You were ever gone.

Distance does not matter
Because always, always, always
You are my sun, my moon
And all of my stars.
There is no remedy,
There is no boundaries
It was sweetened
But, is it ever truly?

Beagles’ breath I love now as I awake.
Your wet tongue keenly laps my chin and brow.
I know your love is true and full, not fake.
You impart your joy and love to me now.
The battles of the night have bled away.
And my eyes can blink back to life once more.
“Good girl!” in gravel tones aloud I say.
Then lean up fast to grasp your furry maw.
Best friend to me and I to you am proud.
Even our soaring love as such must fail.
As ruin will likely wrap you in a shroud.
In pain of grief sorrowfully I’ll wail!
Doing as I’ve done each time before death
Has brought me to the fatal edge of doom
I selfish, will seek to find one who’s breath
Will kiss me to raise my heart from the gloom!

Forget-Me-Not Words

When our loved ones depart, they fly away like birds
but we remember them by writing forget-me-not words.
Once, we stood on the banks of the same flowing river,
but life courses changed, now we stand alone and shiver.

How difficult it is knowing we will never see them again.
A cause for tears to fall in our hearts like cold winter rain.
With poetic forget-me-not words we continue to express
the sorrowfully surreal emotions that we cannot suppress.

Although our tomorrows may bring sunshine into our lives,
mention of your name is a flame that lingers and survives.
You'd be glad to know our town is now called Milton Creek
and stories of you are treasured in every word we speak.

If it were not for you I would
 live carelessly unashamed
But instead I live carefully
Unabashed unafraid unrestricted
Unrestrained ambushed by
Ambushed by memories I thought
I had forgotten so sorrowfully for
Me to be on bended knees
Begging for forgiveness
Breathlessly starving for your
Affections stop this dizzying
Dance and surrender I care for
No other attraction but you
Arouse my feelings of content
You're the pleasant pressure I
Swoon in
No mild adjustment no other you
I trust in for today is yours your
Ecstacy your dreams uncried tears
No wretched memories come
Afoot I'm pouring my heart out to
You so I think you should know my
Heart beats just for you
There i have confessed my whole
Soul to you that look those eyes
That angelic face my craze for you

Premium MemberA Christmas Prayer For Ukraine

A Christmas Prayer for Ukraine
God for Christmas on Ukraine bestow hope
For those folk in dire need of hope to cope
Solace to console the soulful hearted
Doleful since the day Putin’s war started.

Many tears have been sorrowfully cried
For those wounded or no longer alive
Homes and buildings repeatedly attacked
Down to a madman’s lies slyly amassed.

I Pray for safety of Ukraine’s brave men
Retaliating again and again
For women and children who cannot rest
Fearing the worst and hoping for the best.

Praying for those who for safety have fled
To countries where they sleep safely in bed
For the kindly souls who settle them down
For recovery well-nigh to abound.

I pray Lord seek out Ukrainian lambs
Touch them with thy gentle, powerful hands
Shine your light o’er everyone here on earth
As we commemorate the holy birth.
