I AM SOMEBODY
I see myself
from a distance.
T h e r e is c h o i ce,
I never can pick.
They act,
I am not aligned.
W he n w e h a v e i t d o n e,
it is myself in the line.
Living like a sentinel,
watching every beam of light,
but the mirror is too fractured.
W e pu t y o u a si d e.
I own this mind and body.
yet they are shared,
by many.
U r r i g h t!
We are touched,
by flames and light.
Ripped by incongruity,
watching, living or being?
He got tired of surface,
Dove deep in the depth.
W e 'r e th e g l i t ch.
Freeing us,
for some would be a gift.
W e' r e s o m e k in d o f er r @r.
this tofu combo is quite spicy.
it would be a bit much for lovers of poetry.
my grandmother could neither read nor write,
but she knew what to do with dead bodies.
at my son's football, a friend's mother is telling me about her start-up company
i ask how it's going
"it's too early to tell."
"like the french revolution?"
but the absolute brass neck of the perpetrator
who could have orchestrated such a terrible crime?
i wonder if the victim has got a percussion
maybe it's a cymbal of things to come
i'm in a homemade hamster wheel
trying to cross the ocean
Take it as it comes they say
As if you have a choice
To take it in alternate way
To speak a different voice
To look outside and see the view
Of distant hills and dales
If only this could come to you
Not to somebody else
You can’t be ready in advance
Though you might think you can
If you won’t take it as it comes
It’ll come to other men
If only it could be like this
You’d be the first to know
But once it comes, a few brown leaves
Whirl down to say hello…
A nobody but I'm somebody in the vast cosmic dance,
Just one small spark, yet burning with resilient light.
I walk unseen through crowded streets, a passing glance,
A whispered name forgotten with the fading night.
Yet in my quiet moments, worlds expand within,
My thoughts create universes none have ever known.
The smallest acts of kindness—where legends begin,
From tender seeds of nothing, mighty trees have grown.
A nobody to history's grand, unfolding page,
But somebody to those whose lives I've gently touched.
A heartbeat in the rhythm of this fleeting age,
A single drop of rain that makes the garden lush.
So call me insignificant, I won't protest—
For in this seeming smallness, I have found my rest.
A nobody but somebody—perhaps that's best,
When being truly human is life's only test.????????????????
The six o’clock news
is on automatic
spouting static
while democracy
collides with
aristocratic
Gutter meets white house,
smells like an outhouses,
behind the Kremlin
on the Fourth of July
brings tears
to my eyes
I want to scream
but can’t wake up
from this dream
keep asking myself
why
why’d we do it
we had the chance
to change it
but then said screw it
and blew it
now were flying
headlong
head strong
into the end
gonna pay for that sin
again and again
with each stroke
of the marker
another freedom
sliced away
like a surgeon
before a holiday
no pain
no gain
just another step
backwards
until one day
we wake up
and find ourselves
with our tattooed
arms
straight out

When you love somebody, we should let it show, not just in words, but in the seeds we sow. Through gentle touch and thoughtful care, prove with your actions that your love is there.
Anyone can say, "I love you," it's true, but love requires more than what lip service can do. It's in the moments when you choose to stay, in silent support at the end of the day.
It's in the kindness you freely share, in showing up when life feels unfair. When love is real, it shines so bright, not just in words, but in deeds of emotions, and passion that ignite.
So let your love be a living flame, more than a whisper, more than a name. For when you love somebody, let it truly show, rather in family, friends, or lover that's one thing I know for sure, in every small act, let true love grow and mature.
If you have it share it get everybody in it
If the shoe fits wear it and kick somebody with it
Got a mule in a carrot you know He'll never get it
Every move is apparent you're getting where you're heading You can go where you go try to get in where you fit in
you don't fit in than forget it yo this is my religion
I create my own lane go a million miles a minute
At a speed so great I stut stutter when I said it
Aint a lover or a fighter I'm just mother f****** with it
You can skip it you don't like it I don't mind it not a second
I be taking you to school but you ain't doing nothing with it
No exception to the rule not you or no one in it
I ain't a hater man I'd rather have you live in happy
Cool with whatever floats your boat and keeps the ship from crashing
Go and bend the rules just far enough to keep the from snapping
And if it snaps I'll guess I'll have to just become a vigilante
I used to be your person,
I used to be your friend,
Now I'm just a version,
Of a faded trend.
Unfinished business, it's causing me distress,
A connection so strong, yet full of stress.
Speaking through glances, so hard, I’m dead,
Harder because I can’t get through to your head.
If only I had been a little braver,
I could have made "something" into a matter.
Even if your heart belonged to another,
It’s your love that I am after.
But now it's too late, there is no rewind,
A dream left a dream, difficult to find.
It feels like an ending, a love never begun,
Just "what ifs" and regrets under the setting sun.
You'll never know the pain I feel inside,
As I lost somebody, my love needs to hide.
Although I know that you already know,
We’re both playing blind,
Yet I’m the only one in sorrow.
Somebody please call my ma and let her know that, I'm coming home to her.
I don't know when, where, and how but I'm going home to her.
Somebody please call my ma and let her know that her lost daughter.
Has been looking for her.
Somebody please call my ma and let her know. I was thinking about her on every occasions.
Somebody please call my ma and let her know, I can't wait to see her.
Somebody please call my ma and let her know I really, need her hugs and encouraging.
Somebody please call my ma and let her know, the good news.
I came along way from being abandoned by her, to being an overachievement woman.
So please somebody call my ma the end.
if you wonder whether you should write to anyone,
always do;
you'll be surprised at the difference it can make
i regret not doing it more often myself

Before we go to bed
It only takes a few minutes
To pray to our Father
We need to be in the same book
