Everybody Needs Somebody

Author Dana Redricks December 16, 2024 Everybody needs somebody to love them, Nobody is meant to be alone. I talk to you all the time on the phone, yet I feel so alone, so withdrawn. Everybody needs somebody to love them, To hold them tight, never giving up the fight. The pain I feel is just not right, alone in my bed, thoughts swirling through my head, trying to get the night. Wondering when my day will come, my heart is beating like a drum. The beat and the melody, I long for a sweet release, yearning for peace, a soothing release. Everybody needs somebody to love them, to feel at peace, but love for me seems out of reach. Trying to let go of all the pain I feel, and misery I know, what you see is not for show. Every smile is not always happy, sometimes it’s just a mask, an empty feeling so lonely. A band-aid to cover up how I really feel. Wanting to be embraced, and shown a little love, and grace, acceptance is what I seek, but sometimes I feel weak. Nobody wants to be alone. Everybody needs somebody when God man He knew it was not good for him to be alone. Everybody needs somebody, not just anybody. I just want to love me. I'm so tired of feeling lonely.
