This poem is an attempt to describe
Marital connection. I hope to some
Extent success in so doing.

There is no me without you.
There is no you without me.

That's what holy matrimony
Is doing to and for us, because
For more than 54 years, we are
Two mortals becoming one.

I own your signature, and I feel
Your fingers around my soul like
A massage machine to comfort me,
And like a washing machine cleansing me.

Like two fists of 8 fingers tucked away
By 2 thumbs, I feel safe and protected.

Like everything else in space and time,
Our relationship was not made in a day,
Nor our maturity reached hastily.

Your signature, presence, touch, and your
Presentation of me is my seal of approval.

People have said that I appear best when
You are by my side. I believe it to be true.
I know that there truely is no me without you.
It is a reality signed, sealed, and delivered.

Kissing You

Like a innocent baby tasting sweet chocolate for the very first second,
The taste is often savored and oh so pleasant,
Lingering on the tongue sweetness trapped within the teeth and gums,
Hope I'm not getting to deep but I'd definitely describe your love,
As a gift from above signed, sealed and delivered,
Our lips pressed together is like getting a cold chill causing the body to quiver,
Being with you is like a season of winter it may be cold all around,
Trees may be lifeless yet your presence can still be found,
Kissing you is like winning a gold medal at the Olympics,
Competition may exist but in the end it was worth sprinting....... - ShadowCat 2/10/2016

I'Ll Love You Anyway

Very mysterious, no heart on her sleeve
Not what I know yet what I believe

Always I will love her, she can't rob me of this
Among things she stole, respect and bliss

God only knows, what makes her tick
I can't see inside. Too stubbornly thick

Along with anger, always comes pain
If only I could shelter, umbrella the rain

You can lead a horse to water, but can't do the rest
The repetitive stabbing has wounded my chest

A boomerang, I will always come back
A post it note, complete with a tack

Signed, sealed and delivered. Written in stone
Dedicated in hopes, our relationship, I will hone

A guardian angel, from a far
On the darkest of nights, that one shiny star

Like the weeds in your lawn, I won't let you down
Here I will stay until I am found

Hope In the Sky

The sky matches my mood, dreary and gray,
Raining my tears on this darkened day.
I look up and watch an eagle soar on by,
Wishing I was he that far away I could fly.
Wanting to escape this life that I lead,
Feeling like a failure with no room to succeed.
The storm saddens my already sour mood,
Allowing my depression to fester and brood.
I look down and the tears quickly leave my face.
Sadness and pain continue to invade my space.
I look back up to see the same gliding eagle,
Beautiful in flight, looking amazingly regal,
And in the background, there is a bright rainbow
 Breaking through the darkness with its radiant glow;
God’s promise telling me that everything will be okay,
To keep my head up and to continue to pray.
A symbol of hope in which things will get better,
All written down in this vibrantly hued letter.
Signed, sealed, and delivered directly from Heaven,
His signature written in dazzling colors of seven.
I smile because I know that trouble doesn’t last always
And my mood lifts with the emerging of the sun’s rays.
In that moment, faith is what I learned to keep
And there’s a rainbow in the storm, so no need to weep.

Signed Sealed and Delivered

< It's not my fault
The world is made from different cults
                                          Economic woes
                                          Politicians saying no

                                          I'm not to blame
When they represent us in such shame
                                          It's a capitol crime
                                          Like this rhythm and rhyme

                                          You have no proof
That we're the ones that goofed
We abide each law that been laid
And to find out we've been played

                                          I will show no shame
And point at the ones to blame
                                          Get your acts together
Sign bills with your quilled feathers

One Day

One day you will live God’s way,
And not your own.
One day you will say,
That I’m glad to follow the path,
And not live in the fiery tracks
Of hell’s design.
One day you will try the straight and narrow,
And cupid will shoot you hard with love’s arrow.
You will love the loving wife,
That God gave you in His plan for your life.
One day His spirit will make you numb,
To the pain and strife that others feel day to day.
I know that one day and in some way.
You will feel fresh and loved,
Not pushed and shoved from house to house.
You will be still: you will be healed.
One day, you will be signed, sealed, and delivered,
To the kingdom to do wonderful works,
And no longer want to deal the same way,
With the world’s cold heartless jerks.
One day, you will know your true worth,
But the 1st step has to be made.
By you a prodigal to get rebirth,
One day you will be saved.
Your name will be written in the book of life.
One day you will come home,
To your loving wife,
And live life God’s way and not your own.
One day you will be happy,
And raise with her beautiful children.
And with God’s help save the lives of millions.
