The Shed

That shed you made,
It was cold, and bitter.
You used our oak,
My oak,
For your,
Own reasoning.

[Work in progress]

Just Me

Needing to impress but honest to profess I confess a work in progress often with regress.

I am a work in progress.
Much like the highway department,
working on road construction,
it's going to take much longer than expected
and go way over budget,

Dreamer extraordinaire Walt Disney.
A work in progress his dreams will always be.
With a mouse called Mickey, he began fussing,
To this day his Disneylands are still plussing.

between the feral
and the ethereal
lust and love
playoff

soul watches
with bated breath

but the fact there's a game on
signals it's yet work in progress

Cyclone of Change

I've noticed a pattern
Drawn to abusive planets
Need a cyclone of change
I thrown my past to bandits

Change, change
From sunrise to sunset
Everything feels strange
My heart is turning dark red

Frayed pants
aging tassels in the wind
work in progress

Patched dreams
soft comfort of renewal
love’s chevrons

Old boots
moldings of the soul
carry on

Love Is My New Drug

Love is
my new drug
it
seeped inside
my blood
and
permeated
my lungs
now
I'm all
thumbs
and
can't feel
my tounge
Should
I be
catching doves
or
running through
the slums
alit
and all abuzz?

Shockwave of affectively laden numbness

Functioning trait through the plumes of dysfunction

Tempestuous fever in hibernation

Enclosed coffin emotions decomposing

Discoloration life's defibrillation

minuscule tempest a flicker of rage or disdain the gust is soon quelled by love’s healing balm what aspect within us as yet offers a pivot to feral instinct oh weary hermit it’s work in progress our awareness stuporous 26-April-2023

The Impossible

if you can sing then you can dream the dream
if you can fly you can learn to soar across the sky
if you can grow then you reach the stars
even if you didn't know

because its impossible just we can do
because it's endless all the things we never knew

we were asleep
now we are partly awake
with living light of Self known
yet final assimilation awaits
for awakening full blown

the coordinates are recognised
accepting work in progress
presence calm like a lake
in time stretched silence waits
for God’s benign touch to awake

spectrums
       of art
        bring
wonder
and ecstasy
a
fleeting
inwardness...
a heightened
sense
of the infinite..
so distinct
a visual
        chord
yet
out
    of key,
an
    idiosyncratic
act
of freedom
and chance
evolving..
into
a complete daub

Asperger's --Work In Progress--

Contemplative, taciturn
Willing to commit
An immutable zeal to learn
Endowed with acerbic wit
Endless potential
But having few outlets, to express it
Seemingly aloof or deferential
Unintentionally causing pain
Coming off inconsequential
An indelible stain
Easily misunderstood
Without composure refrained

Loves Work In Progress

Missing the person even when together
missing them and every detail
Wishing you could hold them
Wishing to die for them
Always stuck in a tragedy
Were love is taken for granted
The world we live in is very awkward
And the ones we love tend not to care
Unless they love you back
Dont count on them loving you

The Planets(Saturn)

Oh Saturn. The great harvester.
How strange you seem
With your remarkable rings.
Remants perhaps of a destroyed moon.
Or left over from the strange nebular material
From which thou were created.
But even stranger still is the new Phoebe ring,
Many many times larger than even Saturn itself.

Jayme's Poem

(this poem is a work in progress)

You've been there for me every step of the way
you've saved my day
more than once
when it hurt so bad
and I was so sad
I was always glad
to see your face
and know
that I'd survive
with you by my side
when I was going through hell
you helped me prevail
I owe you everything

our love enablement
it is work in progress
meanwhile the ripples
cascading within form
delights our innocence
poised in wonderment

why hasten dawn's onset
when night too is vivified
by divine magnetism alive
let us pause here awhile
for our sisters and brothers
to awake from their trance

Earth Life Purpose

Life feels like a dream
Waking makes it come true
Who could walk on and take all responsibility
Earth revolves but here we stand
Unshaken and work in progress
The purpose of seeing the light alike
Some ache at it's downward pace
Others excited at it's upwards stream
All the course we take
Every heads goal is unique

The Planets(Uranus)

Oh Uranus, father of the gods.
The first of the ice giants.
Cold and cloudy.
You are tilted almost on your side.
Many narrow rings surround you,
Not as great as Saturns,
But impressive still.
Your moons named after characters of-
Shakespeare and Pope.
Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon.

To them we’re the classless aliens,
we destroy everything they envy;
Toxic leaving scars on the planet;

Rare jewel this ocean filled planet,
it cannot be mined by aliens;
Natural riches leave such envy;

One in a million sparks envy
in eyes not on this regal planet;
A work in progress to aliens;

All aliens envy our planet.

Work In Progress

Finally tears of joy swim from these tired eyes
No longer am I drowning in murky waters
Nor trapped in a crowded school of goldfish
Today I dive into fresh invigorating waters
Hoping to make a huge splash
To pay forward a path for others
Never will I forget those who kept me a float
For they are my hero's and they always fed me hope

I am learning about a new me!
I am working to REINVENT David D.
It's a work-in-progress so you know
It's almost as if I'm putting on a new show!
But I'm a rookie learning about life again
I haven't felt this way since I can't remember when
Are my years a factor since I've reached a "ripe old age"?
Where it's very difficult to turn a new page!
