A Deviating Sound

Exception defines nothing
In wartime, is it not?

It is only the softer sound
Of a poem
The laughter of children...
Stories of old aged buddies...

A Deviating sound
From the norm.

War and Love

Love poems during wartime
Bring stars to the night sky,
Embellishing its sheet,
Give the sun a room on a gloomy day,
Its light piercing through the veil,
Hope blooms in the gloom.

Dirty Laundry

Every time you think your being good
You think you've done well
Every time you think forgivness is at hand
You go and do something
That intentially unintentially
Demotes every effort to make things right

Keep airing your Dirty laundry

WARTIME OF PEACE

Peaceful battles fought
With no enemy aside,
Friends you trust never.

Wartime of peace
Moments of joyous sorrow:
Jolt of the mire.

A race for life,
A ring with no boxers,
Bout of no sense.

Wartime of peace
Is a seasonal murder:-
No foes in sight.

A Moment In Paradise

colors of sunset
bathe our bodies as we kiss
                                         on tropical shores
                                     lover's paradise fleeting
my tears stain his wartime grave

Sweethearts Through the Years

I feel at one with sweethearts
Through the years,
With the wartime lovers
Who went overseas,
All the shattered hearts,
All the rivers of tears,
I feel them all.

Verses of love,
Lovers who must part,
Portraits of love
worn so very close to the heart,
All the lovers lost,
Loves that never even start,
I feel them all.

War

It is the time for war,
The world shakes as the lion roar,
I can imagine what it must be like,
When you look around and see your friends die,
There will be no time to feel bad,
No time to feel sad,
You struggle to survive,
You run for your life,
Without looking back,
cos now the back has become the past.
We don't need war,
Peace and harmony we need more.

Doves Faltered

When doves faltered

   and babies cried,

hence blood was shed

in the name of the Father,

as every mother's bosom

  was purged of her child

grown to a man, only to die

  defending his brother's religion,

whilst no human was spared the

    wrath of wartime communion amid

    contradictions of holy water's delusions

Learned My Lesson

Deep down in my heart,
I had seen from the start,
That you were bad for me but...
I could not resist your symphony.
Everything happend for a reason.
But now it is time to start a new season.
From spring to summer to fall to winter.
i can not wait to earn that new splinter
Of hate,regret and depression
Now that i have learned my lesson
It is not time for him to move on to a different person.

Time Flows Through the Hour Glass

Time keeps marching on second by second flows Minute by minute the sand just goes Daytime, lunch, peace, or wartime Springtime, sublime time Time trickles Time Like nickles Slips through overtime Soon it reaches wintertime Where the time went only God now knows Time keeps marching on second by second flows
nickel, American coin worth 5 cents

The War Dead

For infinity the bright white crosses,
In the tidy rows lay in peace the dead;
So unlike the bloody wartime horrors,
The unknown are full of the unsaid.
    The army boy,
    Mom's pride and joy;
    Air Force and Navy,
        Sad deaths untimely.
Sad, the crosses reflected in my eyes.

Duel

I stand on the rail of the ferry looking back
through the rain and wind and time.
I imagine the battle between Spitfire and Messerschmitt
at wave top height.
Who will bring their guns to bear first?
In the tight turns the Spitfire is king
but the 109 climbs so much faster.
Only God would know who is the winner
as both planes fall wounded to the sea.
Who will remember the wartime duel 60years ago?
I’m jerked back to reality as rain runs down my neck.

Wartime

my dad's dad would tell him tales
from the war
so many strangers who fought
stories from ordinary men
who washed up heroes on the shore
he told my father
they were sold a dream
a golden scene
they'd save the world
at only nineteen
but no
that wasn't the case
bullets flew by overhead
like the planes dropping bombs
on unsuspecting nurses
preparing the beds at base
horrific
soul destroying, with men deploying
for politicians trying to save face
horrific

Requiem

A beautiful dandelion.
Dancing with the wind, flying high
Sky was your recreation
As you perish to the limitless.
Nothing blew you away like life did.

And so you wilted.
Subdued too easy
Carried into non-existence
Strucked you like in the wartime.
All you are now is nothing but ferment to the soil.

A beautiful dandelion.
The vulnerable beauty.
That white calm of tingle to the soul.
A present aide memoire
A now sad adaptation of tomorrows interim of gloom.
