Sharing the Rabbit

We torment our fellow sufferers
To please the sharer of the Rabbit
In the desperate hope
That our masquerading
Will warrant us a piece
Of the craved Meat!

Abandonment

You touch your world
Love with your senses
Pay with your humor
Go with goodness
Welcome with your smiles
Arrest with your laughter
You give
You live
You love
You warrant
You favor
Love
Lord

Judgement

Well Wishes Warrant Wayward Smiles
Promised Peace Makes Things Worth While
Lips Sealed Refusing Desperate Deals
Guilty As Sin Innocent Within
All Hope Lost Before It Begins
Freedom Feels So Forigen

Time

The clocks still tick by.
What have you even done,
To warrant a place so high,
And have fabricated fun.

Is your world much worth,
The strict concern of time.
A snail's grit is more mirth,
Shot before the final chime.

In the air

I don't know what is life
but I want to live anyways
spring hasn't yet arrived
and outside we see the birds
they master how to fly
while floating in the air
they don't need warrant for their lives
they trust, jump and learn.

Pit

You think you know me, but you ne'er will

These hells plunge leagues too deep to fill

Such horrors and frights are mine to earn

And warrant no flesh but this ... will burn.

The Man With the Giant Carrot

Nathan wanted to make a difference
And do something in deference
So he made a giant carrot
That became his personal warrant

To create smiles as he went
The Melbourne streets he sent
To others passing a silly smile
And Nathan knew it was worthwhile.

The Times Tolerable

Nothing occurred before
nor after this time
of a streetlamp burning
on avenues untraveled

At the heart of my question
is the thing I die to ask
too much for my tongue
far too often timid

If one minute the world is cruel
only to warrant ennui
the ensuing is absurd
familiar as an old joke

Weaver's Thoughts

Lying in ill warrant still slumbering
Its own age quill rule; restless wandering
In its grandeur, brandish securities
Ought they, beget these magical beauties

Love In America

Husband, brother, son,
lover, friend -
Will we see you again?
Will you be a headline on the news?
Unarmed and unashamed.
We stand fearful and furious
in tear soaked silent pleas.
Something must change.
His skin won't warrant death,
and our hearts won't continue to pay
the inexcusable cost
of love in America.

Don'T Need a Bench Warrant

A date is marked on the calendar you see. It's an important one of great urgency. Not appearing at the court house will be a shame. The judge will issue a bench warrant in my name. The police can come and haul away my tail. His honor has the power to throw me into jail. Inspired by another member's poem

Champagne Is the Savior of Man

Pregnant sky labors in misty cloud
Tenants of earth awaits the bath of life
Warrant is issued to eastern wind
Stagnant is earth and man's thrive

Rain now patters in Noah's days fashion
Vein shivers as cold infiltrates man
Pain enslave the worried thought and soul
Champagne is the savior of man

Worms

Worms are grisly,
quite abhorrent,
slimy, and a world apart from
style and character, I warrant.

All they do is wriggle,
wiggle to distraction,
captured by the early bird
they're skewered to inaction,

yet they aerate the soil,
help in nature's grand design,
I must print a full retraction,
they're not grisly, they're just fine.

Marilyn Or Charles?

Mansons.....
you can take your pick
to me, they're both very sick

charlie? (his name does not warrant a capital)
Marilyn (what sex you think he might be?)
both grizzly, or so, to me...

who'd you rather have as a cell-mate
if this is the choice you have?
I think I'd vote for solitary,
or put in my eyes a lye soaked salve

Points of View

Points of view are most important
When discussing things that you should warrant
Each thought made is tempered then
On your circumstances for you to defend

So we go about our business each day
Thinking things that will require your say
And charity is not always felt
For others in their cards as dealt.

Bench Warrant

it’s colder now
much colder
ice clings to a welcome
few accept
the old couple
is absent
as are their family
of squirrels
a chilled sun peeks
through spindly branches
mocked by icy chimes
a distant church bell weeps
its tone muffled by the snow
it’s colder now
more from emptiness
than frost

I Do

Like Alice in wonderland
I'll be Ann on magicland
And with my wand
It'll all be mine

Strokes of hope
Want to elope
And whoop
They will be mine

Warrant me the grace
To speed up the pace
Till i look him in the face
When we win the race

And the heart of gold
Engraved in my soul
Shall mine forever be
Till eternity doth part us.
