I feel much like I don't have much to say
preferring to hide
and I often am told
that I don't smile

I just seem to fade into the background
and come out maybe once in awhile
to check out how things are
any changes I should be aware of...

Quite often I feel like the only word
in a poem that doesn't rhyme,
or I'm a nickle, five cents short
when I'm in need of a dime.

You make me feel like I don't belong.
