Pop

Dandelions grow for fun;
They just love to pop.
Now late spring days are on the run
They never seem to stop.

Pop pop, pop pop pop!
Wee suns in skies of green----
And we the planets veering 'round,
Drawn by the pops between.

Verily, verily
Violent truth has come
Vagabond of heaven
Visage of holiness
Veering the world off course
Vindicator of the
Vulnerable - that’s us

Vagrant diamond stars teem,
Various in color.
Veering hued planets whirl-
Velocity dancers!
Vernal and infinite,
Vibrant universe dark.
Vintage colors abound!

Off the Beaten Path

Pressure cooker, atom split
Shoehorn forcing souls to fit
Public takes no prisoners
if your drummer's different.
Veering off the beaten path,
throw my shoes, no ounce of wrath
Although it's easier on the feet,
I would rather have blisters...

Fear Only Fear

Afraid to ask
Afraid to cast
Afraid to hear
Afraid of jeer

Fear is delaying truth
Fear is growing from youth
Fear is reliving the past
Fear is irrational typecast

Asking diffuses fear
Talking reduces veering
Trying clears fear
Chose to steer

Wayra Reveries of Ore

burrow of silence,
empty links worn - crimson flaws;
fearing bare hallow lone tracks-
veering with precision...
             to reveries of persian ore

A New Broomstick

A witch on a broomstick at night
was veering to left and then right,
she soared and she dipped,
then over she flipped
and swept up the Isle of Wight...

Untitled-For Now2

Letting go
could set me free.
I could fly
to the highest point.
Conquer my fears,
base creativity on something new.
If only I could find
what I am searching for.
A straight path
with a veering direction.
Out of the darkness
comes light,
but reaching the light
requires strength.
Am I strong enough?

Time Out

Make no haste,
your work is restless.

Aeon give me pause--
no more ticking
gears grinding
ever towards the
lonely end.

Live the now.
Even Death took
a holiday,
veering briefly from an
eternity of reaping
solitude.

Take your time
on earth and
mingle--
overindulge in
reverie.
Rest assured,
oblivion can
wait.

Grammatical inference

Advertisement adversity
Advertising of language
Incident of speech
A dissuasive measures rebuttal
The science of polemic draw
From no veering elsewheres
Sound of water as naked leaf
Enclosed is the burden of purchase
Not without
Pitching fluent
Campaign for after
Elect as fervor in demeanor
Subversive literatures metre

Bare-Boned

There's something about the air in Fall,
it begets this chill inside
that longs to snuggle up with my pen

Summer is veering left
and I imagine myself rooted to the scenery,
a weeping willow
who sheds her sins
with a quick shake of the wind-
lest I peer down to find my own foliage
has settled with time,
think of all those secrets left unturned

Leaving Grandma's House

I walked the same path I had always walked,
but the flowers and the bushes were changed
The birds had stopped singing, the woods became dark,
and my memory a tiger untamed
I came to that spot where tomorrow began,
but the gates to its entry were closed
The path veering inward where remembrance escaped
—to wander both free and alone

VITALITY
encapsulates
celebrates
  innovation
hurtling
pell-mell
straight towards
an encounter
with
the viewer
veering
 en route
in
movement
  one to another
 between
wrong turns

 a restlessness
some haste
 is
detected
& is
understandable

part
of this
 zest
underwhelming
feels peculiarly
unfamiliar
in
 an encounter
so brief
an
 excursion
disjointedly
  underplayed

Paradigm Shift

I’m adjusting fixed positions
On opinions and deductions
From now on breathing other airs
I have a stack of fresh instructions

I let go of once held handle bars
Veering off from straight line steering
Riding curves requiring nerves
Whilst watching stances disappearing

Chancers wait to try it on
Consider risk-maintaining stakes
Ask what can we afford to lose
Whilst still expecting lucky breaks

Violence

Lives on
With rapid-fire multipliers in
The tales of two cities which are
Now in our frightening focus..
As divisiveness thrives
In a numbing atmosphere
Plurality declares independence
Here and then there and then often..
We are exploring dark extremities
No longer serving as creative
Expressions of our Whole..
Recognition of our veering
Means of expressing ourselves
Is sharply implored...

Sike

Readying the cannon for war
Barricading the mind for battle
Protecting thy neck from the noose
Flexing my arms to brace for impact

Walking through trial’s gate
Veering in the distance my eyes drop
Chattering teeth seize and sleep
No one is here to challenge my soul

A sigh of relief and cold calm
For today the battle is postponed
However another day it shall be
A trial for the ages, I shall get my rest

Vivacious veins of hope

       Virus still spreading fear

                       Veering variably

                                               Voices warbled ill-use

                       Vaccination striving

         Vicarious breathing

Vanquished foe valiantly

Mini mangy monster Marvin moo
Nearly never noticed anything new
Outrageously outgoing onset overdue
Plunking his plush posterior on a pew
Quizzically questioning Curly-Q
Respecting ruffians Brew, Grue and Rue.
Shimmying and shaking shivering Sue and Stew
Teaching talented Tommy Treachery too
Uniting understudies under the letter U
Vaporizing validation veering into valley view
Welcoming wild werewolf wearing blue.

Metaphor Contraptions

And the greatest poems were made
By hearts so tired and blue
To catch a name
From smiles so bright and true

Words from hollowed pieces
Are weaved to fit in
To create bridges
Between the heart and death's curtain

Emotions penned deeply
On parchments and skin
Veering away finally
From minds struck with pins

Someday these words may
Turn into eternal hymns
That though peril come its way
It'll grant us dreams

Crossroad Heart

Tis' tender heart Crossroad betwixt Each soul and body And conscience thus The traveler Upon the road of live's journey The forks in left or right Veering off Becomes the way of progression learning Sun sets up ahead Moon each day behind And the world unstill, is forever spinning As all are born and some again The young grow quick And in old live, unto our dying Tis' tender heart Crossroad betwixt The Lord and my human being

Barrel Racer

She tightens her saddle one last time
She's ready to go, ready to ride
Her palomino mare snorts and paws roaring to run
The buzzer sounds, now its on
Down the middle veering right
She makes the turn, the crowd ignites
On to the second whippin' her hard
The barrel tips but doesn't go far
One more to go, she's clenching her teeth
'Round she goes she can't be beat!
On the home stretch, kickin' up dust
Through the gate she goes
She's the number one

A brook cascades daintily extant
~ flowing gayly heart’s incited joy
Meandering, nestles on Peace
~ quivering restraints strain ‘n squirm
Breaking-bank, careens downwards
~ extols faith’s grim heart-bomb
Undulating, veering waves extrapolate
~ Yonder’s zooming blue-adieu
Sojourns, so-longs, traversing under veils
~ weathering wry extremes
Heart’s incessant journey keels love’s mainland
~ new opaque's reach...
