Vivacious veins of hope

       Virus still spreading fear

                       Veering variably

                                               Voices warbled ill-use

                       Vaccination striving

         Vicarious breathing 

Vanquished foe valiantly

Thanks for the kind words Dear David, I still feel like we're in the middle of an incomplete tunnel; scientists are now discussing a potential vaccine that could protect all new versions of this virus for 5 or 10 years; I'm not sure if the one we just had was just a sample.
