There is a war on ukraine 
A genocide in the middle east 
A grandma died her dog died too 
No one knew in 6 months it was on the news 
And children are trafficked, killed by goons 
Some are assaulted raped then discarded
My girlfriend left if feels bad too 
but what kills me everyday 
Is my dog will die one day too...

A clown down, on the foreign round.
Lost in the laughing trafficked city.
Tongues of pity now broken, now
Regretful of the truths hard spoken.
Flinching from stilleto'd eyes,
Solace sought in the lies screaming
From the pasted signs. Only
Here, hid among the blinded dragons,
Is there peace, my shattered sister.

Maybe in small print or lost in the fold
Ordinary tales left out in the cold
Rainbows that never quite led to the gold
Roads to where real life is trafficked and sold

prison franks
playing footsie
not a long ride
loveless daybeds
abandoned signals
fighting eyes across trafficked lies
earthern worms 
bait filled cells in bread
tape worn in xrays of osiris

enough to walk down 
walking home, down 
further than, better days
sinkers on a string
blankets of kelp, poisoned
and learned

being certain of where not
to return -- paths of experience
already traveled.  Grass-less ruts

loser others -- I search for detours,

though lectured long and wide

bags and bottles. Off they float,
dispersed. Where to?
  There's no control.
Wind and ocean current swirling,
gathering all those broken
fragments. Human flotsam drawn
together, trafficked at what cost,
deflatable, adrift. Ashore,
  caste unwanted.
Are they biodegradable?
What of their diversity?
Can they be reused? Restored?
Evidence of waste upcycled,
more than plastic identity,
  or plastic credit.
