Crazy Eye's
Half his mind is wandering loose
the other half leashed to a rabid poodle.
His toothy grin is as stable as a tropical monsoon.
He will internally combust one day,
if not, I will gladly light the fuse....

Premium Member Do Not Worry Unless
Not happy to see a toothy fox teaching my history class.
I immediately made up an excuse and got a hall pass.
Principal said, “Do not worry unless he loosens his tie.”
Which he did three seconds ago, so now will we all die?...

A Friendly Smile
A friendly smile.
The maiden sobbed and walked along.
A friendly smile;
The toothy grinning crocodile
said, ‘Sit by me, tell me what’s wrong.’
He ate her whole, spit out her thong.
A friendly smile…

MORGAN WITH TULIPS

toothy and yellow.
Sun-petals next to
my grandson, who

at eleven chuckles
at the mere two pictures
under the title.

Seasonal surmise, of
one planting, upending soil -
captured with one grand sun
and a pearly white smile.

Pete
Pete

The family dog is a yin yang
Two faced in black and white

Lives his life on a log chain
Likes to play with his bite

Pearly, ivory, toothy fangs
Partial faced in the moonlight

His Pyrenean bark is like a big bang
His bark is worse than his bite

I Have Changed
i have changed
i am not the same girl i once was
my eyes no longer light up and my smile is no longer toothy
instead my eyes are dull and have bags under them from crying in place of sleeping
my smile has been replaced with one forced closed mouth grin
i am not the same girl i once was
i have changed...

Weather Girl
She’s perky.
The wind churns through sparrows;
death strikes with its usual toothy banality.
Windows are blown out,
hurricanes fart blood.

The weather girl flaps her arms,
pushes nipples into the camera,
winks.

Tears will be shed somewhere,
but for now
we smile, we nod
eye on a different focus....

:)
is the happiest smile
really the most simple
is the toothy grin more decieving
than first thought
the bigger the smile
the higher the curve on our lips
when our eyes strain
from grinning so wide
that they water
and we say they are happy tears
than is there also
friendly frowns
and delighted grimaces...

Behold the Mighty Pyramids
Behold the mighty pyramids that stand beside the Nile.
The pyramids appear amid three hungry crocodiles
Who are swimming down the Nile in a hungry single file
As they eye an idle anglophile a mile down the Nile.
And in awhile these crocodiles, now three satisfied reptiles,
Reappear amid the pyramids with three horrid toothy smiles....

Everybody assumes

you like dogs

especially their dog

sprung from its tether

breaking for you

this morning

all a-scud over the gravel

propelled by yeasty, toothy

gushing grins

homing in on you over there

	fossilized, frozen by

	by the dumpster’s Gape,

	one less

	cat person

the world won’t miss....

THE DARK SIDE

Little swish – big swish!
Big fish eats little fish
Aint nature grand though

Fly tiny bird fly!
There’s an eagle way up high
So? One has to eat

Run little mouse run
cat will have his fun
Even though not hungry

Some say it is love
When the lion bites her throat
Jungle king courtship?

Not a bit of it!
Toothy has picked a winner
Sweet wilda beast for dinner...

Premium Member Halloween Was Near
The cat was in the moonlight clear.
Arching his back, quite full of fear.

Jack-o-lanterns were rather dear.
Showing fierceness with toothy leer.

Goblins, ghosts and spooks in the mirror
Added to the ambiance of fear.

The older kids did laugh and jeer
Some of them possibly sneaking beer.

A wild screeching in my inner ear
Let me know Halloween was very near....

Family of wolves stretch
In preparation for day
They are exactly alike
Their coats are beautiful

The coats seem sprinkled with snow
Weights and heights seem perfect match
The length of their stretch exact
But their smiles are different

Two have toothy bared smile
While one seems pleasant teeth hidden
Not a tooth is showing in smile
This wolf had to be adopted...

Afterlife
I have a worthy goal
I pine to be a fossil
on permanent display
in some future museum

All it takes
is the proper soil
in which to reside
for years and years
of unflinching patience

And then a bit of luck
when a doctoral student
stumbles across my remains
and finds the subject
for her dissertation

Scientist will argue
over what it all means
and I will live on in death
as a smiling toothy enigma...

Don’t underestimate telling someone they were missed. There was a black hole in a pew, in a schoolroom, at work; on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday… Widen that smile, that big toothy grin. Don’t underestimate letting that sunshine radiate. We feel the warmth, the tether, that we matter, altogether.

Sympathetic
We volley with sketchy returns
each moment of empathy mirrored
in cough or laugh,
toothy smile or nod
to prod hundreds of
muscles in chase,
scrambling for that
elusive reciprocal
that binds us in effort,

a hiccup of reactive
responses contrary
to conscience or will
to fill yawning mendacity
while locking journeys
in mutual discord
behind the mask
of ordinary compassion
banishing inner calm....

Premium Member When I Die Make My Statue Tall
Margaurita was always called challengingly short.
In the afterliife I will be tall, she would retort.
When I die, make my day-of-the-dead statue tall, she said.
Give me a scary toothy face, and a huge, oversized head.
We made this woman's statue twelve foot tall.
Her face was long, she was no longer small.
Do you think she knows? We asked each other.
Honoring the best we could, our sainted grandmother....
