Toffee Apple Tragedy

A little boy had a big lick
Of a toffee apple on a stick,
His tongue got stuck
When he had a huge suck,
Poor little red-tongued Rick.

Handsome silver tongued

But truth testified

Winded Breaths

this wheat
quivers
like flesh
beneath
the whispers
of love’s lips
softly tracing
tongued secrets
around the edges

I tremble

Demons

I am drowning in a sea of black tongued regret
They whisper and scream
They live my life and tear it apart
They caise pain and suffering
Damage and fear
They're my demons
And so I commend you
To never say
Hello

September, sands cool.
Ghosts occupy lifeguard nests.
Blue parents waiting for
blue school buses....
carrying blue brained children
led into blue tongued lizard pits
by blue cell phone mist.
September, sands cool-

Luck

Hard luck
Luck.
I hoped to gift you
with my tears
to adorn your
crown with a
somber face
and a land of soul
with banished smile.
But hard luck
Luck!
I tongued clean
the salty tears.
Hard luck.
Better luck the
next dream-wreck!

Gentle Minds

Pulled into the winter blend sheets
Bare spots covered by your breath
Entwined skin, fingers and toes
Eager to be pleased by us both
Embedded clusters of wrinkled linen
Linger upon dripping wet thoughts
Distant morning-soft-tongued-talks
Are ever so gentle on our mind

Unguarded by the living now,
The castle stood.
Drawbridge dangling.
Tongued mouth reaching outward.
Crenulations gnawing,
The stark gray sky.
Rime-covered battlements
Coated with gangrenous moss moan.
With a banshee’s howl through apertures
Where archers once stood.

Dreadful Dream

Lo, a cyclopean ready to devour;
Lo, a silver-tongued serpent  hissing while crossing;
Lo, a mysterious land full of creatures;
Lo, a lupine howling so frightening;
Lo a phoenix from oblivion has risen again;
Nemesis a punisher of evildoers has come;
Lo, I wake up and its a dream.

Epoch of Dis-Ease

Merchant of moments
Peddling the past
A hourglass high
A present that never lasts

Slave to silience
Disguising the deceit
A tongued tied echo
A truth that's never discrete

Time may beget actuality
Expectation elicits emotion
A tacit torture
A sensation that's never chosen

Fish consuming bats come out at night
In Brazil struggling fish is a sight
So scary are the long-tongued bats
Pollen and nectar give them their fats

Frog-eating bats reside in Panama
They devour them all cold and raw
Vampire bats make my shivers shake cold
Blood from animals is their liquid gold

Winter Kissed

Singing to an empty well,
all that echo back are screams.
Visions of demons lie before me,
ripples in the inky water.
Heaven found in a man's killing touch,
and still there is no escape.
Nightmare wishes come to life,
stumbling blocks along my way.
Silver tongued devil waiting to wake me,
to the shadow of my former self.

JESUS CHRIST

You say you don’t
Believe
But you most certainly do
Know his name
You form the curse
With your own round lips
Never batting
An eye
And you mock and smirk
Knowing each word’s
Fork-tongued crude
Never wondering why
No other name
Holds the same
Giggle for you
Perhaps it is true?

Trills

Smouth-tongued birds gently lean on each other

Under reddish blue skies of a summer night

Chills full of melodies and chants them cover

Feather by feather

From sunset to dawn, touching heads, they twitter

Watching the full bright moon over them glitter

Love trills and symphonies them weld together

Feather to feather

The Power of the Tongue

God’s intent for all when
He gave us each a tongue,
Was to use it for purposes
Such as telling of His Son.

We were given this tool
not for a weapon of destruction,
But to spread His Word
and not words of deception.

Just keep in mind when you’re
spreading your “fork-tongued” lies,
That God will see right through
With His omniscient eyes.

Adrift In a Wish

trailed by stardust
the first star of twilight
where i scatter my wishes
glitters like your eyes
locked in the depths of mine

the gossamer breeze
caresses my skin
like a tongued whisper
escaping your winded breath
within the thrust of night

i arch myself blandly
in the contours of shadows
aglow with the lambency of moon
adrift in wishes of you
