Thrifty
There would be,
enough gold in the pocket,
if,
happiness is treasured
in the horizon.
True, maybe
For those who are
Thrifty....

Hit the Road, Jock
Thrifty Scots made a new High Street
from plastic trash folk used to eat
The USA
Won't pave that way
Trump claims that oil just can't be beat!...

Super Duper Discounts
There once was a man named Art
Who was thrifty and shopped at WalMart
He was happy with life
As he rode on his bike
Till the bearings fell apart ...

Remember that time we found a dime and bought two ice cream cones at Thrifty? That may very well be the only time you and me shared anything fifty-fifty.

Sourdough
This old farmhouse kitchen
could tell its thrifty tales
of hard times, making do,
making bread from nothing –

snatching life out of air…
Snatching life out of air,

she turns wheat and water
to ferment by the stove,
and molds it with her hands
into tart, golden loaves....

Fifty Words
To celebrate aging to fifty,
A poet thought it would be nifty
	To jot down some verse;
	He wasn’t averse
To being, with words, rather thrifty.

Equipped with both paper and pen,
He struggled, again and again;
	He had little luck,
	Annoyingly stuck,
Then got it and yelled out Amen!...

A Bird In Flight
While the wind blew swiftly.
The bird flew thrifty.
Flapping its wings.
Faster and harder.
Against the wind.
The bird flew like it was blind.
Swirling all around the skyline.
All at once the wind calmed down.
The bird came through town.
Soaring its wings.
As it roared right past me.
To find rest upon a clothes line....

Joe thinks the sun's causing global warming
He'll block the sun's rays from ever forming
    An idea so nifty
    Undeniably thrifty
And Pelosi's cold heart needs some warming

Thirty Thrifty Thieves
Thirty thrifty thieves furtively foraged through their filthy things finding fifty thin forks
though the thieves find of fine thin frilly forks thriftily foraged failed to thrill

Thlipping Dithicult said the first
whos swolen tongue he nursed
The second thought it a trifle tricky
this can't be read as a quicky

Doubts
DOUBTS

You are so mute to tell me
the words I wanted to hear
You are so tired to show me
the actions I wanted to see
You are so naive to let me feel
the feelings I wanted to feel

You are so thrifty to give me
      the understanding I deserve
You didn't care to the pain you have caused me

Yet,

It is LOVE you told me everyday

Now,

I DOUBT if it is LOVE you showed me....

Your Banker
Take the chance
Invest in me
I'll pay interest
Compounded hourly
Give me your love
Please don't hold back
You'll get more in return
And that's a fact.
Want great rates?
A percent of fifty!
Listen to this
If you want to be thrifty
Give me two kisses
I'll give back three
And I'll throw in a hug
Complimentary
The decision is yours
I'll give all I've got
Just for you
And 'cause I love you A LOT!...

Funny Bone
Peter cotton tail
Passed Pam down the the sliding rail
Possing prively passed position failed
Who said Peter could created jelly bells
Oh well
People often smell
Like sewage water water down a rivers trail
Soap used to clean dumped waste polluted air
Peter scales thrifty built buildings ginger bread Hansel and Gretel gripped sail
Through the forest and under trees
Peter has legs to run but fell to his knees...

Before
Life in motion
Things happening so fast my head coukdnt think in the commotion.
Feeling the pressure swallowed by the emotion.
No clue what to do where to turn not even the slightest notion.

Options options what were the options..

Not one seemed right not one provided safety.
Each had a price some were pretty hefty
Not wanting it to cost so much always so thrifty
At best life has become terribly shifty....

The Intention of My Magic
the intention of my magic
is to get inside you and inside your mind
misinterpreted, i stand alone with some kind of drink dripping down my chin
a stop sign is thrown and breaks the light bulb above my head
the drawing board had to bought from a store of thrifty convenience
never had i had a streak that has gone so beautifully tragic
you are worth the weight in work and rejection as well as acting out the intention of my magic...

I am told that Time
are increments...the
happy man counts
his by kisses – a family
hour, a dream for the
thrifty~ wise, a short REM
seeming somehow linked
to greater eternity –

I am told that Time
is precious – or burden
to those without Power,
to those hungry –
alone as empty and sad

Time with God I've never
found wasted...

Though I've managed
good use of all these

Time away from you
has always been, pure hell.......

Belly Thing Called Life
Life is rice, oil and salt
If living itself is luxury
And food is all delivery
Relationship is boring
You still need to cook
Your own food for love
In this way not thrifty
It's showing creativity
Independence frugality
Home made taste far
Excellence in all ways
It's a voluntary sense
Trust base, fair care
Ordinary yet special
Simple yet full moral
Most people have this
Urbane yet unexplainable
Always look happiness
In the belly of each person....

Time Does Fly
Take a moment, and look all around,
step from your window, and walk in your town.
You may be surprised at what you see,
good people living humble, not entertaining greed.
Happy to have a job, even though the pay is low,
hard work is the key, being thrifty they know.
Neighbors, helping each other, always offering a hand,
giving of them self, because they understand.
Step into the real world, open your eyes,
this is our world, enjoy...because, time does fly....

When You'Re Pushin' Fifty
When you know you’re startin’ to get old—
Set in your ways and more thrifty—
Your poor ol’ joints just keep on achin’
As your mind starts gettin’ “drifty.”
When you gain weight and wrinkle all up,
Then you know you’re pushin’ fifty!

You’re smokin’ more and likin’ it less—
Eatin’ too many them French fries—
Then some poke says your pushin’ SIXTY—
But ol’ cowboys don’t tell no lies!
You’re not a talkin’ ‘bout your old age,
Just explainin’ ‘bout your waist size!...

Spend a bit extra
receive a little more
In life’s cutthroat sale
and thrifty superstores

No free dinners
It’s all in your head
For each slice gained
the rest gets no bread

Gives back a cent
keeping all the rest
Huge ponzi schemes
pay crumbs as interest

Always leave tips
they go a long way
Bosses can pay less
and make tons of hay

Mark these words
or use a highlighter
By omitting fullstops
save ink for the writer

Satan Walking Into Gods Plot
Not in his favor eyes shifty
But goes to his credit nifty,
Helps not his image being hefty
But mars it not being the thrifty...

Not a nice story he's crafty,
Rather that he's so at fifty,
At their office his choice Mufti,
Yet breaks not the rules held lofty

So, the question: Nice Guy or Not:
What has he for us Mankind got?
Is he The Good with some bad blot:
Satan walking into God's plot?

Some had settled for "faintly good"
Others asking for time to brood!...

Dining With Crow
In dress, mortician's finery
pure ebony entire,
eshewing tints of purity,
He dropped in by my fire.
It was His island after all;
his chapel ceiling, trees
I see what little I possess
and He
          Possesses what He sees.

The trickster of the Inuit
this feathered deity,
I thought He wished to share the Pike
His lake gave up to me.
But thrifty with His speech He was,
As Gods are want to be,
He came around to share my meal
That's all
the time He had for me!...
