Notes About The Poem
Boys buying ice cream

Many may be too young to know what until the mid 1970's, Thrifty Drug Store sold ice cream cones for a nickle per cone.

Remember that time

Remember that time we found a dime and bought two ice cream cones at Thrifty? That may very well be the only time you and me shared anything fifty-fifty.
