Thirty-two poems a day to post,
To reach that treasued goal,
For thity-two hundred years or so
With thirty-two prayers I'll last that long,

'my Contst Pom'
May was riding on a duck
                         For thirty two odd days
What that girl was thinking of
                         Is difficult to say

Premium Member How Many Appendages
Thirty-two appendages is what I count.
Toes and fingers totaling twenty.
Lower and upper legs and arms equal eight.
Hands and feet rounded to four.
Is that what you count?
Is that what you found?
Or did you count
appendages more?...

We knelt in front in front of his Mother's
casket.
Tears falling from his very sad eyes.
Mother was only thirty-two!
No family there, simply empty chairs.
A young boy....his teacher..and his
Mother..lying there.

The wind chill is thirty-two degrees below zero in Chicago
Snow is being pushed around by plows that are burying cars
The wind off the lake is adding to our discomfort, but taxis are moving
Marshall Fields is open, and there are Christmas carolers
Gorgeous nativity scenes light up windows...

Birthday
Birthday

I checked my birth cert today
There must be something wrong
It is 1967 making me fifty today
I look in the mirror this must be wrong
No way do I look that age today
I will complain this is insane
I look and feel only thirty two
That is the age I want but fifty will have to do...

Premium Member I Milk My Birthday
Some people have a birthday day.
I have a birthday month.
Sometimes I extend it into the next month too.
I truly might enjoy my birthday a bit more than others.
It’s my birthday, I say, and quite often.
Not once or twice.
I have thirty-two birthday shirts.
Therein, I feel I have to milk it more than most....

Premium Member The Art of Giving
I gave my son a dollar bill from eighteen-hundred thirty two
and a two-spot from that same year too
The question mark upon his face
implied I was from outer space

What's this? he managed in a thin voice
'Cash,' I replied, left with no choice
He shrugged his shoulders at the 'cash'
~ Promptly filed it in the trash...

Hip hip hooray, I accidentally found a post office
That is still open. Anyway, I saw a person go in
Without throwing a brick.
Most post offices have closed around us.
I would have run back to my house for my letter
Except is would have been a thirty-two mile hike.
I do not even want to walk that letter
to my mail box and put the flag up....

Parents
Keep it real with me.

So when I’m thirty two.
And I don't know what to do.
I can call you.
When my son is only two.
And his face is blue.
In a panic because this is new.
I might even need you.
To come to St Clair Avenue.
So you can get my point of view.
I’ll even fly you.
Man, crazy how our bond grew

Because you kept it real with me....

Premium Member Geek On the Beach
It's a lot of fun,
being a geek on the beach,
He dug thirty-two escudos',
in less than a week.
all solid gold,
from the lost fleet.
He found fourteen more,
and stayed for three weeks.
With some of the score,
bought a custom jeep.
Yup, it's a lot of fun,
being a Geek on the Beach.

The crux of this poem,
is mostly just luck.
Though dreams come true,
near Vero, His did....
