Until We Meet Again

Treasure your moments with zest and zeal,
and show honest love with every word;
life is fleeting - no bargain or deal...
'cause the last "goodbye" is always heard.

Prunella loved the color purple, planting some lovely Crepe Myrtle’s; they had a humongous growth spurt, all due to her nitro-rich dirt, now her yard’s a Myrtle hurdle.

Human Nature

A good human
But a flawed lover
A good soul
But still a tormentor
A good mask
But also a mind gamer
This is human nature
Contradictory and contagious
Yet full of life

The Puddle

I gaze into a large puddle,
Can see the three worlds.
One beneath containing life,
Swimming freely chasing foe.
The second on the surface,
Floating leaves motionless.
The third and most miraculous,
The reflection…
Which is me.

Seven Merging Vows

Drifting across seven seas
               nascent hopes majestic lives,
             Undulating turquoise waves
            spill lilac pearls of twilight;
          Seven vows retreat to shore
dissolve in our tides of love,
like wet paper boats we merge.

Premium Member Autumn's Gift

On wet days, shivering, we greet late fall, whose shortening days bring with icy fingers hoar frost on the fields at dawn. Some time before the first light snow, we take pause, and with loved ones recall - Autumn’s gift is an abundant harvest. For Brian Strand's 'COMPLETELY YOUR CHOICE (24)any form any theme' Contest

Not Alone

If I take a walk
on the beach alone
bathed in the sun's light
with no hand in mine,
I Know I'll be fine

Gulls will still plunge
into the waves
touched by the wind
while I seek Him

With each step
I will find
He is here

Always
near, my

God

Evenfall

Lilac dreams
     tiptoe inside
        whisper
     my secrets as
 evenfall descends..

 Aged stories
     turn mauve
        haunt me then
        dissolve
     in tides of
 crimson seas..

 Memories expand
     become more mine than I
       am
        as evenfall ends.

Oh gossip where is your sting,
you are here today and hurting others for days to come.

Mother's love

Star

She longed to wow 'em on the stage,
but cannot sing in key/in tune;
attempts to hit the highest notes,
like werewolves howling at the moon.
She tried to play the violin...
the keyboard...drums...for many years.
Instead of clapping, people frown
and put their fingers in their ears.
But now she's sure to be a star -
just watch her play the air guitar!

Still Waiting

STILL WAITING
Until his assassination in 1968, Martin Luther King campaigned tirelessly for equality and human rights for African Americans. Fifty-seven years on from his historic “I have a dream” speech, for many the lessons still have to be learned. This man of vision Dreamed the impossible dream. Premium Member I Like Silence

I like silence when it drizzles like rain not thundering down, but falling softly on my window pane. I like silence when it ripples like barley in the breeze. It is in times like these it puts me at such ease. I like silence when it drifts to me like snow. Then is when I get lost in its tranquil flow. Premium Member Losing Her Glow

Drained fingers jot sweet memory
calling Pam’s name in every bloom,
as laced nights recall the glory
of fondness born from love’s heirloom...
Time pauses… her Glow swirls on trees
where romps christen fire tasting life..
And though wonder darts to appease
pale the ticks, yearning for dear wife.
