When feeding a family of four

From  a 16-inch terrarium

The secret is to eat less, not more

Or build a seafood aquarium...

A forest behind a glass
earth and green shades
blended to be artfully pleasing

Moss, lichens, and a twig
composed with a splash of color...

To feed her sweet fam’ly of four

All their vegan food came from

The secret’s eat less, never more

In a violent contumacious act
the rankled child smashed the terrarium;
the green shards of glass making an abstract
scheme on the tiles of the solarium.
Amid the sphagnum and the fertile dirt
sixteen years of tender growth lay dying
a single swipe with full intent to hurt;
the child listened to the mother crying....

We Live in a terrarium..
With our lives we scurry around like little ants.
We run to the store.
We run to the Dentist.
We run to pick up the children.
We run to our jobs.
Every day pretty much like the rest.
Some hold out their chest as if they’re
important.
Others think they rule the world, but it’s just a tiny terrarium....

Terrarium
An empty bottle of glass walls
soil beneath the carpet of moss
incubating within the effulgent cave
a floor of sand, droplets all across

sprouting little roots thin and white
gentle leaves embrace, the weeds wild
Don't open the bottle, it's filled with love...
Our tiny world, the trapped genie smiled.

THE  TERRARIUM

           For my tantalizing terrarium
           brought pilea, peperomia and palm,
           selecting  from emporium.

           Precious plants are growing faster
           inside my bottle of water.
           Shining in sheen and lustre.

           Exuberant bottle greenery.
           Me caring being miminy-piminy....

A Wardian Case of Coruscating Light
Preternatural beauty dense and thickly lush
elegantly displayed requiring very little gush
A terrarium bottle garden in a growing rush
staving deep with vibrancy and gentle hush;
A wardian case of coruscating light, forever plush
inside a menagerie of green plants falling afresh
the intransigent resilience of this herbal flesh
is both, a healing balm and a lovely garden bush....

Visiting An Empty House
I visited an empty house today
I found elephants with mirrors on its hide
And a dromedary with fluffy yarn
That raggedy Anne wore for hair

I asked if I could have the records
She had given me one year when I had
Turned six years old and had a bunk bed

And an electric ionizer next to
A terrarium with a newt that
I cared about but did not understand
Why her life was as important as mine....

Premium Member Bottle Garden
A bottle garden adorns like the most elegant rose
Horticulturists’ pride featured in most writers’ prose
Crafted by the youngest ambidextrous botanist
Whose prowess blooms far beyond the cloud’s mist.

A terrarium intricately built from a crystal- clear bottle,
Coco fibers, variety of bijou stones, rocks and pebbles;
Charcoals, moss, ferns, tiny plants and worm castings,
Dry barks and many more for creative miniature gardening....
