Thoughtless
Thoughts in my head
Take shape,
Change color,
Grow wings,
And Fly-
Leaving me behind.
I'm left blind
And thoughtless....

One must learn the same

A fish swims with hope...

Inspiration
soft whispers drool
beyond a collage of thoughts
away from mind’s noise

images take shape
from palette of night’s musings
inspiration blooms

Heroes don’t always wear a cape
I was rescued during a hasty escape
Trouble brewed and I knew everything
Until coming face-to-face with perishing
A brave soul enabled my life to take shape

Flight of Sea Gulls
Moonlight dissipates.
Soon dawn will break.
Hewn out in the sand,
Dunes take shape.

Seagulls glide over seawater,
Free to reach the heights.
There is beauty and there is grace,
Each possesses in their magnificent flight....

Gods Face
I looked up and
The sky was fill
With activity and
The stars were
Moving around, forming
A pattern, the stars begun
To take shape
The shape turns into
The face of God with
All the beautiful colors
Of a rainbow
Wow, what a sight!...

The Right Pick

High above the tree ripe cherries sit
Prim and chaste, elegant standing
Their little red orbs take shape
Stretching for the sunlight
Nature taking course
To be picked

Vagrant thoughts
Hang about the corners
Of my mind
Idly tormenting each other
Daring
At least one
To take hold
Take shape
Cast a shadow
On the unknown.

Paper
Japan is the place where traditions come alive. Red, orange and yellow papers take shape. With every fold a new story is born. As families come together and traditions are passed on. Origami is what’s it s called a Japanese art from long ago.

Human Nature

souls take shape
live for peace or
discord
seek life’s answers
to the why and who
created
beings
of all kinds
to live
in sunlight

toiling and toying
with the nature of drives
needs
which make them human

Whats Taking Them So Long
The big kahuna

21st century hellscape starting to take shape

Keep your hats on boys and girls

Its going to be a wild one

The republicans aren't going to cut us any slack here

What are the socialists doing?

I don't know, but I'm wondering what's taking them so long......

searching for our loved one
our passionate escape

Curling condensation

interlocking piece's perfectly fitting

last night our dreamworld quivering

The Lie of Perfection
as we walk the wall
and see ether side
as fear takes you to your knee
in the fight for perfection
we miss one thing
the perfect world
as perfect as can be
and i fight for the stars
and the moon
but perfect is at a cost
humanity
and as always
the love story take shape...

See the tender shoots of grass
   poking up through the ground
See the buds take shape on trees
   on branches, promises profound

Feel the temperature rise a bit
Pack Winter away. Tighten the lid on it...
Breathe deeply of Spring's embyonic perfume
of purple crocus and rosy tulip's bloom...

Poem Life
Poems life.

When conceived it begins to take shape
and form of its own.

Who’s to say what shape or form it is
to take on.

As it develops it is born and faces all
uncertainty of a life.

Do we hear its voice, its cries, its pleas or
does it pass in darkness?

When often not knowing or sharing the abyss
of its life....

As Autumn's Breeze
22/8/16
As Autumn’s Breeze

As Autumn’s Breeze
Grasps the leaves

Tugging the last
Golden coat fast

Stripping branches
Winter catches

Jack Frost skating
Skirting, waiting

Blizzards of snow
Imminent show

Flakes take shape
Winter awakes

Crystals cocoon
Minus temp looms

As Autumn’s Breeze
Prepares to Freeze...

I keep my remote distance:
controlling volume,
sweep of channels--
omnipotence in the palm of my hand.

Of course we know
in our hearts
this is foolish--
the entire exercise
or lack of;

the sediment life style
or lack of;
death in an easy chair--
too easy to die,
far too soft
and cushy
to take shape
and usefully live.......

Mad Brooklyn

Yellow Flower
Paper-like the yellow flower
lingers long after I left
that roadside by the tower
in the memory, it rests.

I stood awhile to see the shadow
of my fancy take shape.
Ah, I recall that roadside meadow
where I saw that lake.

The birds filled my heart with hue
of wonder and wilderment:
I could not with will subdue
the words to beauty I lent....

How to build a spaceship

A large cardboard box,
Massive amount of tape.
10 toilet paper rolls…
It’s beginning to take shape.

A creative little mind,
Crayons of every hue.
Help with little scissors,
Grandma, pass the glue.

Imagination going wild..
That’s what yields the fuel.
Our spaceship ready to depart,
Fun the only steadfast rule....

Poetry!
Poetry!
For Tommy!

Constantly you remain,
A passing image in the recesses of my mind,
Statuses Adonis like Sometimes.
The indulgence fervently kept,
Behind tightly pressed lips.
Intrigued by the words that never escape.
All of my inspirations finally take shape.
The things most people never notice,
Resonate in all you do.
That is the sheer poetry of you!...

Knit One - Purl Two
Yes,
Knit one
Purl two,
Dropped a stitch.

Knit one
Purl two,
Then, the intrusion of you,
In between the lines that
Tell how this cashmere wrap
Will take shape.

Knit one
Purl two,
Start again,
Don't let it get the best of you,
Although this pattern is for
Beginners.

Now your voice!
Lord, I am lost!
Knit one
Purl two
Try again tomorrow!

Cynthia...

Premium Member A Day In the Life -- Poet's Progress
Getting started is harder some days than others
Tempting ideas take shape -- vanish without a trace
A couple of lines appear, then run out of rhyme
Going nowhere fast is a misnomer; it's agonizingly slow
        And the poetry's just awful

Push to finish it anyway...Push hard...Push to finish it...Ah, done!
The next one'll probably be easier; this one was certainly no fun...

Encephalomyelitis Disseminata
It is wrong to remember her as she once was
and only then register how she now is,
For she is now as she is now,
She is not what she has become.

By day, we walk slowly through the crowds
Guided by her stick
Taking time in the world,
Letting its forms take shape.

But at night I lie long awake,
Or fall into a fitful sleep
Rent by the teeth of fear, thinking:
She is, but soon may no longer be....
