As Autumn's Breeze

22/8/16 As Autumn’s Breeze As Autumn’s Breeze Grasps the leaves Tugging the last Golden coat fast Stripping branches Winter catches Jack Frost skating Skirting, waiting Blizzards of snow Imminent show Flakes take shape Winter awakes Crystals cocoon Minus temp looms As Autumn’s Breeze Prepares to Freeze

Thank you Anne-Lise!! I know it seems harder to write about saying goodbye to Autumn when we are still hanging on to summer! Appreciate you stopping by, warm regards, Laura.

I have truly enjoyed this lovely poem, Laura. Looks like your Scottish summer is nearing its end! Here the weather is still hot and as yet I can't bring myself to think of autumn! I am looking forward to at least another two months swimming! ~ Warm regards // paul

Hello Laura, Thanks for your recent comment on the Demon poem co-write by me and my dear colleagues, Anne-Lise Andresen and Liam McDaid. I really like your Autumn Breeze couplet write here. The cogent nature of writes like this can make their message lasting and interesting to the reader. I enjoyed your write here. A "Seven"!! Great Work!! Cheers, Gary

Nicely contrived, Laura. I have read several Autumn poems over the last day or two on the "Soup"; seems like everyone feels that Autumn is going to be early this year...And I agree with them. A seven for your capable little poem...It certainly imparted an autumnal feeling towards me. My best regards! :) john

Many thanks for your kind comments John. I guess being here in Scotland with our short lived summer i'm already thinking of Autumn and probably why i chose to write this for the contest. I'm glad you liked it! Warm regards, Laura.
