UP SET SET UP!
-Dharga Nagar Safa
Set up,
Before going,
Up set,
Take over,
Before coming,
Over take!
Worst day on the beach
With broken tar stained flip-flops
I’d take over this

Darkness consumes me
Corrupted thoughts take over
Soul becomes hollow
Self castigation occurs
Tears of blood destroys all hope
hush whirring worries
let calm and faith take over
cradled in God's arms...

Solemn overcast
of black
spotlighted by
tingling
twinkling stars
who's jealousy
take over the sky
wanting to
take over
you but
notice
your
wall
i could
fly over
but would
never
because
of my respect
for
your
country

Texas swing is magical;
You can’t resist the dancing.
Your feet will just take over;
And they’ll dance all night.
Winter snowfall offers whiteouts against
thinking, against the multiplicities
that grow in our brains to take over life
in a mean way.
David Cameron’s should stand down for his deputy to take over
He makes and validates the tax laws,
What about his character and moral fibre?
Captain's America shield
Loves all the American people
It protects his country from
Danger and a take over
From villains foreign and domestic
Memories and thoughts haunt me
Through the dark corridors of my mind
Forever with me
Patiently waiting for the right time
To take over
A car dealer needed a driver,
So Ray decided to take over,
When Ray took the wheel,
Car parts began to reel,
Ray asked, “was it not a teetotaler?”
Self-defense mechanisms
take over in times like these …
No matter the provocation
Don’t forget ‘thank you’ and ‘please’
Midnight is the wishing hour
When the sun and moon come together
When darkness blinds the world
When oceans take over the land
When the wind is a wolfs cry

-Adventurous aliens always automatically anxious anxiety adventurous trying to take over my this planet...

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2020
When feelings stop,
words take over
Emotion harried,
pen unleashed
Heart in limbo,
mind resurging
Muse in waiting
—time released
(Dreamsleep: March, 2022)
clocks decided to slow Friday down
did it in every office all over town
office workers stared at four-fifty for an hour
the clocks felt respected, loved their power
I'm unprepared
Mental scared
Of what might take over
I get up down on knees and pray
Is this the end I say
The walls are shaking all me
I'm trying to keep my faith
Nature programs are all I watch
Baseball's been canceled the whole lot
Suffering like mad
It's badder than bad
Need Vladamir to take over our thoughts
Take over control
Nakedness raptures no thought
Deeper firmer still

My poems overflow with passion and love
But more times my giggles fit like a glove
Have no control
Take over my soul
Not a bad master to be a willing slave of
Take is a most versatile word
Take back
Take down
Take out
None of these meanings absurd
Take away
Take off
Take over too
I would like to be this versatile, wouldn’t you?
The burning
The pain
I will not submit!
It will not stop
It only gets worse
I will not let it take over!
Here I go
Running in circles
I will not lose control!
Ahh
I failed...

Humans are a strange lot, don't you agree
Should take lessons from the animals, you and me
Only kill to survive
Not to contrive
Nasty schemes to take over another's teepee
Greenland will be our posh winterland plaza
Blueprints unfold for a Riviera Gaza
Just hot air baloneyism
Or old-fashioned colonialism?
Panamanians shout leave! Viva la Raza!
