Lightning and thunder,
Vortex swirls above my head.
I cannot hear you.

the hearth flickers 'neath a pot
water swirls and tumbles round
dried leaves bloom within the clay
misty cup of calm

we
are made of
pink cotton candy
with
swirls of
Breckenridge blue sky
and
rainbow sprinkles
all
around us
swirls of starry flakes
icy fingers etch patterns

Earthquake- Dance
Thunder- sing
Volcano- cakes
Tornado-swirls
Flood- champagne

Sand of Time hear me rhyme.
In columns of twos,
The ants march out
Like wooden soldiers,
Across the sky
To taste the swirls
Of pink
Cotton candy clouds
errant acorns splash
dry leaf twirls and swirls along
dandelion seeds
dance whispering water tense
falls giggles gleefully by
Dust Devil swirls up
Waltzing wildly within air
Blocking sun with sand
The sand remembers
Waters of ancient time
Dancing in the tide
Healing sweetness waits
in pregnant pomegranates.
Winter kisses Spring.
The world of little girls swirls
with pinkish delights and frills!
tonight red wine swirls in glass
my last guilty pleasure soothes
as impending diet looms
... it's not on the list
in this mug a green affair
spearmint swirls fill the air
herbal confection
brewing perfection
refreshing that none compare.
Time waits for no one
the seasons still change
leaves begin to Fall
snow swirls
sun shines
buds emerge
but time waits for no one
summer's lavish brush
canvas stroked in billowed swirls…
daydreams framed in blue

Before you cut your hair
it was a long river
for my swimming hands.
Now you bob your curls
and swirls,
yet your waves
are just as sweet.
Oh thwacks of pain,
You made slightest of my optimism go vain!
Swirls, oh I feel momentary,
Made my actions in a longer run to be involuntary!
Dust swirls in Tucumcari,
Two shadows draw at noon,
Steel flashes, sharp echoes,
Silence falls, one man stands,
Desert sun claims the victor.
darjeeling leaf branch unfurls
coaxes dreams in soft sweet swirls
himalayan breeze
from far eastern seas
sip aromas hidden pearls.
The paintbrush swirls a circle
in bright red alluring hue.
Shadows surround in the sky
Rising, a new day

Weep June rose
As the naughty breeze
Of summer's last delight
Tears away the
Pink petals of your glorious dress
And swirls then high and away
night’s shroud drapes the woods
swarm of firefly swirls around
lattice of live light
flickers on black tapestry
stars twinkle in dense darkness
a girl making pizza dream
her toppings make tastebuds scream
tomato tossed swirls
and cheese in great curls
queen of the epicure scene.
Lost silver’s feral
As it swirls aqua ~
Elemental chance
looms on fins primal
Sated or not, swims
and grins......eureka!

Listen to poem:
Wispy smoke billows
Steamy breath exhaled in swirls
Like paper streamers
Break free, gone in a moment
Bon voyage to hopes and dreams
As I stand below the waters
That rain down from above;
I am reborn.
And as they wash over;
The best of me
Swirls down the drain,
And is forever
Lost.
