La Elsa Tableau

Lost silver’s feral
As it swirls aqua ~

Elemental chance
looms on fins primal
Sated or not, swims
and grins......eureka!

Thanks Jan...lol i snorkel mostly as I don’t like the breathing against resistance of scuba and breathing thru my mouth feels awful unless I’m gasping for breath and hopefully it will never be coz of a shark confrontation...i do want to swim with a whale shark though. :)

I love sharks and mourne the fact that they have mysteriously departed from our bay. A few rules such as never to swim at dusk or dawn will keep most people safe. I enjoyed your poem and the thought process it had triggered. :)) ~Sus

They are unfairly maligned and it is their habitat we invade...yes, the other rules i know are no flashy jewels and for island free divers, no trailing the speared catch by your side... glad you enjoyed it :)

Sharks are so frightening. You captured the fear they evoke so well, Susan, and I love your description of "fins primal." Best wishes for a win! Carolyn
