Listen to poem:
mozzie squadron fleets
roaring overhead in droves
dive to ear in waves
scream whining hisses so loud
that my swipes beats my brains out...

"a Swipe of Fall"
Autumn swipes its hand

with such grace and color shown

                                                      while winter awaits......

The bear swipes the leaves
It is looking for some food
Then it stops and stares
I don't know if it sees me
I am still, I am watching

Down
Dressed down, the organic earth-child still narrowly escapes the ravenous lapping of El Oso. Once the brute is felled by the fair, surely the tickled dragon’s snout fumes. The never-satiated beast fumes, and swipes with an eager pink swath, each time the raw gets pranced past his nose....

Who Would Forget To Faint
If taken for A Saint
And black they just him paint,
Except The Truest Saint,
Who smiles down cruel taint
And in swipes finds the quaint?

Who won’t oneself repaint
Arranging for White Paint,
Asking for Man’s restraint,
To self with God acquaint…

Watching out for fresh taint
And being renamed A Saint?...

Much ado about nothing, I say,
Such nonsense made of Major’s poop
Touch not the precious White House furniture, or,
Lunch on leg of Secret Service nincompoop.

Sad, for four long years, no White House pets
Bad reviews for majestic canine occupants
Add swipes at new First Lady’s Spanish
Glad POTUS does not yet need sycophants....

It's Okay
My mind is cluttered
Thoughts are spilling over
My pen is a drunk
But my words are sober

Paper wiped clean
with a dirty eraser
I'm putting down raw emotions
straight without a chaser

I'm learning me
In small
small swipes
between the blue lines

My poems are not
always full of sunshine
but that's okay
that's what makes
them mine...

The Face On the Wall
The face in the wall
Stares at me all night long.
It’s calm in the morning
And judgeful at night.
It calls in my sleep
And laughs when I cry
Yet I can figure out why it turns when I laugh

The face in the wall
Isn’t so tall
Yet I can’t seem to reach
for it always swipes me off my feet.
While I try to ignore
how well it’s hollow eyes match mine.

Laser Focused
Red dot of light
Glides across the room
Must capture this intruder

She crouches down
Ready to attack
As the dot moves closer

Pouncing into action
She slides on the floor
But the dot eludes her again

Determination in her eyes
She attacks once more
With a fury of paw swipes

The dot disappears
She frantically glances around
But it is gone…

Defeated, she wanders to her food dish...

Taste touch
Mind much
Spread such

Glimpse grounds
Strange sounds
Rich rounds

Chance caves
Words wave
Straight saves

Feel flow
Grand glow
Signs show

New noise
Vet voice
Proud poise

Touch things
Spur sling
Fate flings

Rude rides
Sad swipes
Wet wipes

Charm crafts
Dream draft
Graze graft

Starved soul
Burning throat
Hard lump
Stray tears
Nostalgic heart
Burning quietly
So alone
But why
This fate
So tragic
So passionate
So shy
So imperfect
So tender
No likes
No swipes
No dates
No wives
No family
Just quiet
Empty room
Silent contemplation
No pity
One day
Just maybe
Perhaps tomorrow
Next week
Next year
I believe
It hurts
Hold on
To belief
It's all
I have...

The Fly
I sat and watched as it continually banged it's head into the window pane, that fly.

My cat sits on the cill and swipes out at the fly as it buzzes around his head,
But he missed and knocked over a china vase instead.
The fly seemed startled and goes round and round the light.

It's buzzing is driving me crazy, it's becoming such a bore,
So I open everything I can and the fly goes out of the door....

Plan B
I sit, think; catch a quick wink as the ship sinks.
My instinct is to lip sync till the slip’s pink.
Can’t win fights when my chin swipes reach only shin height.
And when kin likes taking Schwinn bikes to my wind pipe.
It’s useless. I’m an aloof spruce, I’m fruitless.
The looseness of nooses is becoming a nuisance.
Screw this. Hope has gone the way of the dodos.
I pack my bindle full of beans and hop a train with the hobos....

Freddy's Adventure In the Maze 4
I dodge the creature's claw
As it challenges my skills
I move quick in this brawl
Not knowing how this thing kills
I duck as sweat starts to drip
It swipes touching my face
My mask begins to rip
Causing my heart to race
It jumps high in the air
With claws coming towards me
All of a sudden I feel like a flare
And red is the only thing I see
Power inside rises in rank
As everything around becomes blank

There she is again! That great big spider.
Show her the door. Don't spoil this insider.
Yet now on the ceiling, she rests up high.
My broom swipes hard though I fail in my try.
She's hoping to stay and spin a big net.

I grab some bug spray but it's the wrong kind.
"Once I got bitten", my friends I remind.
Nightfall comes, spider looks to be asleep.
My promise to win is one I can't keep.
Last seen, she's bigger and hasn't moved yet....

Premium Member Mickey Mantle and Duke Snider Stand By
Looking down from somewhere up in the sky.
Mickey Mantle and Duke Snider stand by.
Below, Bronx Bombers, all in their pinstripes,
come out swinging their bats, taking their swipes.
Dem Bums have Shohei Ohtani and Betts.
Get ready, this is as good as it gets.
"Play ball", says the ump, to a lightning flash.
Big bats heard o'er the land, a thunder crash.
It starts raining as, out of the park, it flies.
Is it Mantle or Snider who cries?...

Freddy's Adventure In the Maze 3
The creature finally lashes out full of rage
I begin to run as the thing chases me
Knowing I am the one who let it out of it's cage
I try to figure out what to do as I flee
I grab my dagger as I turn right
I grip it tight fully ready
I turn around for the coming fight
As I yell, "Come to Freddy!"
I move quick dodging the beast
As I push fear far away
I stand there refusing to be the feast
So I rush without delay
It swipes and slash
As we both clash

The Ocean Speaks
I sit on the sand dunes, lost in my thoughts, as the summer breeze swipes my face, freeing my hair....the salt air makes my inner-self come alive, as the ocean waves offer a private showing, reminding me of the power they own. A seagull flies overhead, as it speaks to me oh so gently, and a voice without a face commands me to"Relax and Feel Peace"......I feel a connection to God, as none other I've known, and all my worries and fears I once pondered, now seem trivial and unimportant....
