Speak profound poise as truth now stays,
Posture frames voice in curious ways;
Opt for fond choice to impact grand,
Touch suspends noise as comfort plays.

I Realise Now That...
I realise now that death is not a fear
It’s just a means by which life is the end
For those who came before all disappeared
Returning to a state where mind suspends
So cry not at my grave for I’m not there
I never really was for all you care...

God
suspends
the
sun today -

casting
His
shadow

over
the
Earth -

His
Holy Tears

falls down
on
Babylon,

to rid
the
world

from
Sin -...

Hanging In There
I braid the sisal in my shaking hands

Noughts and crosses ensnare my trembled thumb

The tight tugs throttle my Adam's apple

A single drop suspends my teetered feet

Swaying south and outwards in a rhythmic creek

I brace for the embrace to unknown realms...

Who needs fiction when truth is so sweet? The COO's woes from Beyond Meat: enraged, he bit another’s nose, an incident that clearly shows a vegan diet is incomplete!

Close Your Eyes
Close your eyes, hold my hand, take safe haven in my waiting arms
rest gently on my shoulder and
share my dream of friendship unbroken
time suspends as we continue to
partake of the first tender kiss
our sensual lips did take
you see, my dream was true,
when we first met, I knew it was you
my world went silent as you took my hand and kissed my lips
I closed my eyes and prayed this dream wouldn't end...

Like honey from a spoon warmed in a cup of tea the mist suspends itself from the ripe red buds of maple and grape. In fascination the light shatters prisms on the chandelier of life. Worlds of I and eye reflect outward. Tulips sip and daffodils dance in beaded gowns of dew. Wind sweeps mana to the beaks of birds. Rivulets roll down window panes cleansing the visage of man’s abode.

At curtain call
Echo last footfalls

Time halts and stops
As heartbeats lose hop

Too soon the end
Suspends life dear friend

The afterlife dash
Claims each in a flash

Be ready then
For date comes just when

Be willing now
To transcend somehow

Feel a deep peace
Abide with silent ease

Discern the way
You transit earth's play

Fate waits on grace
For a sense of place

The Week
If Monday’s when the week begins
And Sunday’s when it ends,
Then how come on the calendar
That logic it suspends?

For Sundays show up on the left
And Saturdays the right,
Implying that week goes
Sunday morn to Saturnight.

Since many people work 5 days,
With weekends times of rest,
The Monday start is one that is
Most commonly expressed.

Yet we accept the way things stand
And honor the mystique
For, calendar or not, tomorrow
Starts another week....

The Fiddler and the Frog

A fiddle idles then descends,
a clenched bow rest atop a noiseless chest,
a frog leaps nearby and suspends,
a final croak lets out breaking the quiet,
a calming all-around transcends,
a host of angels by a gate,
a harmonious melody blends,
a fiddler and frog joyously complacent,
a blissful duet eternity sends.

Impervious
Hush falls, like soft down,
velveteen,
the canopy of night,
when kisses rouse the tender
nerves,
the tips of your breasts;
sweet buds pressed hard
against the sensing tongue.
until the rain falls
down
from stars and distant quadrants,
pooling violet shadows
dilated in your eyes.
A face upturned,
porcelain,
neck arched and parted lips,
breathing sweet gasps,
whispering of love
and love’s dominion,
as this time
suspends forever
frozen,
impervious to the rain....
