Afterlife
At curtain call
Echo last footfalls
Time halts and stops
As heartbeats lose hop
Too soon the end
Suspends life dear friend
The afterlife dash
Claims each in a flash
Be ready then
For date comes just when
Be willing now
To transcend somehow
Feel a deep peace
Abide with silent ease
Discern the way
You transit earth's play
Fate waits on grace
For a sense of place
