Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2021
Old memory written,
new words to a song
Forgotten, remembered
—sung once and then gone
(Dreamsleep: December, 2019)
To Irish green eyes
With a devilish twinkle
A toast at the pub
As long as there’s an Ireland
An Irish song will be sung
Come gather the rose in bloom
Before it withers and dies
Like a book un-read or a song un-sung
Useless waste swept away by time
Misconstrued actions replayed,
Misinterpreted words sung,
Unspoken hatred nurtured,
Anarchy is inevitable.

Dawning an era one,
Downing,we era one,
Two songs sung,
Dawning not won,
One downing won,
Song we era won,
Strong we era tong!
No love like a fictional love
Sung, drawn and written about
I would give everything for a love as above
Real love is just not the same
Form:
No sweeter thing was ever heard
The advent of the spoken word
Soft notes on high from angels sung
Heaven by a slip of the tongue
Twelve rain frogs out of tune croak
Not a winning number sung
Prelude to copulation
No sweet dreams all night
All the notes have been played
All the songs have been sung
All the words have been written
We only make arrangements...
For Deb's contest
Green quill glides down from gray sky
Sweet song sung soft on branch high
Is she cried for her lost love?
While he lay down, a grave sigh.
A poet is born
out of pain and heartbreak
when the sung is sung
and even God takes notice...
[entered 'Bite size poem #35]
Tides enfold first light,
Golden hues seep through briny mist,
Daybreak murmurs rest,
Ebb and flow dance quietly,
Dawn's tender overture sung.
Is a poem ever finished…
or a song completely sung
Does today end with tomorrow
—is love forever young
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2017)

Poets brood on words
Endeavour to dare new pen
Plough on for their aim.
Tune your ink into a song
Sung, to you no more belong.

Gurgling serenade
tirelessly sung by the water
to the plane trees.
Gurgling serenade.
My soul has become a note
in that Divine song.
september song sung....

Hubig's Pies are very pretty
And the lemon pie is sweet
So remember the old ditty
That you are just what you eat!
(Sung to melody of "Lemon Tree")
BERNERS LEE
Tim Berners-Lee’s praises are sung
Back when the internet was young
The worldwide web, a phrase to use
Often abbreviated to triple w’s
My pen sings in notes
Of cotton and steel as a
Page fills itself with,
Bands of delightful colors
Sung in four-four staccato.
While the flowers we were among,
We knew spring had finally sprung,
Myself grooming;
Flowers blooming,
And songs by birds were being sung.

OLE BLUE EYES
Many like Frank Sinatra
Even native Malays in Sumatra
Whether his words are sung or spoken
Everyone knows that voice from Hoboken
Strings hung,
as he sung,
and caught the rung,
an electric wire sprung,
around the rung,
and he was stung,
now he did not sing,
and was almost hung.
