Exit 44
On the exit number 44 sign
On Highway number one
A crow sits perplexed
Trying to spell the word “FLY”
She stutters a moment...

About a Stutter
If someone stutters that you meet
Just think of it like it's a treat
You might extol
It's a drum roll
Keeping you on the edge of your seat!...

Lame
Is he lame who struggles,
stutters, stammers to be understood?
who challenges all-comers
with a strength beyond his means
to beat the system for the greater good?
stronger by far than you or I....

The Writer In Me, Wants You To Know
8/3/2021

I write to spread more than unease.

As people gather and read that I am unpleased.

With this world that stutters when they hear my condition.

I am now free, though not in remission....

Timed Out
Time wends, stutters, stalls.
Time was when it flew.

Timeless are the dead stars
timed to the last moment
are the living.

Man is a faceless clock
on a blank wall.
In time, the deaf
tell the blind to see....

Oh, To Feel
I wish my thoughts were tangible,
Feelings frighten my fragile heart.
My emotions eager to escape,
I'm afraid to act out of antsy impulsion.
There's a chasm in my chest so capacious,
Even my conscience stutters....

Cold Monday morning
 He mumbles under his breath
 Car engine stutters
As he turns the key in vain
 Temperature is rising.

Till 'long came a singer, Miss Sutters

The golfers did swing
And now, poor Miss Sutters, she stutters

Premium Member Are You a Robot, Dad
He hems and haws
  Nervous, fidgeting
Opens his mouth
  Nothing comes out

Palms turned upward
  He shrugs his shoulders
His eyes roll around
  In their sockets...

His voice wavering
  He stutters, stumbles
Wh-What k-k-kind of
  Qu-Question is that?...

While others give grief, a chocolate milk cow often stutters, and how! In her udder relief, she utters “ca-cow” while producing cacao, tells the nutters, Ciao, ciao. Not one to chew fat, a crow in the know tells her, no, it’s cocoa but she says he’s loco, and a raven, at that.

Shallow Breeze Stutters - Day 19
shallow breeze stutters
severing saucy alphabeta
wielded wind weaves
into punctured pieces
fostering felon feasts
bounty blurs breed

locked lips split
aiding taunted trip
bruised breeze picked

smothered smithereens shudder
before fiery filter
gaunt gifts trigger

helpless as confetti
helpless as feelings.

Commentario
All week I watched them
Grotesque faces in the glare
Of stark red mayhem

Some false ablution
Not enough to cleanse us all
Self fails us again

Twitching on spikes
Smoked eyes dim blurring the cross
What purifies night?

What makes us like stars
When supernovas explode?
This fire's not enough.

All week hell stutters
Across white pages of pride
Mayhem stalks our dream....

Can I Deliver?
Can I Deliver?

I quiver,

As my heart stutters.

I blubber on and on,

But can I deliver?

Can my heart render

What it's contemplating?

Maybe my heart

Is too tender?

Should I

Surrender?

It's hard for me

To comprehend

Even being here,

Much less being

A devoted member

Of this tragedy.

How Did I even

Get here?...

Because I Did Not Care To Write About the Snow
Because I did not care to write
about the snow
the blackbird pulls within itself,
sucking feathers into its vortex
like a footprint.

Surely there are meanings
to the ice-covered lake
turned white. We write
the words with our feet,
not guessing their meanings.

In the snow
the blackbird remains black.

The sky stutters.
It does not know
the essence of the ice
locked below....

Tit Tat
One in the same me and you
Both of us desperately in love
Nothing either of us feel we can do
 Here push comes to shove

I am left here with what emotions I came
Sure my heart stutters at the sound of your name
None of that matters and it all sounds to lame
My feelings are real, this is not some kind of game

Guessing that none of this matters
Until were together we'll both be in tatters...

Glitter Lake
Sunken to the bottom in the snap of blue delight
to simply bathe in glittering and crystal slushing ice
Silt and streaks of sunlight blowing through the gills of fish
sneak their skin upon my lips to usher in a kiss
Winter wilts and stutters as I shine my surface eyes
bubbles slipping upward toward the warmth of summer skies
Hold my breath to silver while I listen to the flow
Giltter lake alive my pulse until I start to glow...
