Vitriol
The chalice you drink from
is leaden with spite
and the poison is eating you up

where you languish alone

She does not dare step down from her chair
She does not dare to take such a chance, a beautiful victim of circumstance
She dreams the day she has the chance to take a stance

Took Away Crown Trump Wore
Took Away Crown Trump Wore

Trump was President while wearing crown;
Not only that he was an incredible clown
Hard to reach;
Should impeach;
From precipice wish he would step down.

Vice Versa
If wisdom now comes
out of the mouths of the young
It follows they must
Retrogress in a future
Step down to a lower rung

Donald Trump really needs to concede
A new president is what we all need
He's stubborn as a mule
But can't win, voters rule
Step down sir, our Country needs to succeed

Premium Member The Leadership
A leader is to lead
To acquire the aim
To reach the destination
Where, when and how
This is not the only problem he faces
But men's expectations and supports
And the majority votes
There won't be a total compromise
To lead or to step down
Is the only last judgement
Ever seen in history...

Steps
Take them up a bit Step down and disconnect yet Well oriented
Follow the rhythm Fall into run, then schism Palladium's glow
Hang on, two flights left Three ahead then go right Welcome home, goodnight
All this time, and the elevator still remains 'Out of Order.'...

The Lions Den
Walk of the ages step by step down pavement and dirt bare feet and linen, bark with the weight on shoulders king of king of all fiery eyes that knows thy enemy that laughs at the face of danger at first and last glance the prey that don't stand a chance of survival as he suffocates the opposition one by one...

Writing a Step Down Poem
Do you write too early or too late?
It's hard to say at this late date.

Especially when specifics are the only rule,
Writing like this makes me the tool.

I wrote it early and then,
Edited the text...who knows when.

Now I'm in the quibble,
Two more lines to scribble.

Only four words now,
I've done it...somehow!

Not Going To Fly
not going to fly
not having it
not backing off
if this goes a stray
will not take it
will not step down
will not give up
will fight for territory
this is last straw
this is straw that broke
this camels back
this turf
this territory
is already inhabited
not going to leave ever
nothing can push out
existing inhabitants...

Ejection Fraction
Step down from your
ego. The brain dead has-
left a lesson.

Left a lesson, the brain dead.
Will you measure the
EF before the cardiac arrest ?

Sexing an issue
of dented verbs, why
do you need a defence ?

The numbers are climbing.
You have entered-
a high risk zone,

of killing yourself.
Give me a ghost writer, I
need an art, not a duplicate.

Show Yourself
Before i scream out loud
Before i bounce off the walls
Before i step down from standing tall
Before i crawl down to my knees

Show yourself to me
Show yourself for what you are
Show yourself in the bright light
Show us what its all about

Bring me back to your soul
Bring me back to the world i once loved
Bring me peace inside that hides
Show us love for the ones that have died ....

One Step Down
Draft beer, chess boards, and Kerouac cool. Cerebral grafitti and a Robot-in-Drag juke box bubbling out fifty years of good jazz. A virtuoso burger flipper destroying the laws of physics, making gravity play the fool. On the restroom walls, the surfaces held musings of poets and philosophers… overwritten since, by lesser bards and now closed. Soon to be apartments.

Georgia's Laugh Inn
At Georgia's Laugh Inn
there's no liquor,
no credit cards,
just cash.
There aint no
whiskey between
ol' bar stools
ragged beards
and confederate caps.
At Georgia's you can gamble,
there's poker, cards
and dice.
The airs a sea of smoky Marbolo
The perfumes sea salt with bud light.
At Georgia's you can step down,
to the coast of the old south.
Get a laugh in at her Laugh Inn,
before wandering
someplace else....

Pants went down Folks just laughed, some did frown So-so the clown ran, slid on his skate, folks amazed when So-so flew and fell on his plate. Dorian Petersen Potter aka ladydp2000 copyright@2011

Bones of Winds
Inside, the battle wages.
One step down,
I drown myself in the frowns
of a thought. Night sucks at my fear.

The rhyme of the fading moon
intends to fix me up.
I refuse to smell the breath
of the catch.

I bloom on the pain,
sweetened kill of the day. An empty jump
in void of a portrait;
shaking wall.

Watercolors were ruined
by smudging the reasons.
Clutching the bones of winds, falling
from the sky.

Never land
At one point I believed in forever;
I believed in infinity and time;
Now I say please join me;
To a deathly line;
The line I walk upon is thin;
A line made for balance;
But I’m going to say goodbye to the win;
I’ll step down;
I’ll walk right in;
I will cast a ghostly shadow;
For at one point I learned the truth;
And that is there is not only a forever;
There is a place that is and always has been;
A place called the never;

Zen is without
                    symbolism
                                        and egotism.
Not all haiku is Zen
                    but all Zen is haiku.
                                        Zen is less awareness;
without filter
                    or screen;
                                        live in the present moment;
quiescent in
                    the calm
                                        of contentment....

Waking Up From Heaven
Waking up from heaven
Has to be about the hardest thing
I’ve ever done
And opening my eyes
To reality
Is no fun
I dream of loving you
Of wanting you
And being with you for all time
Of knowing you
Of feeling you
And never letting go til the end of time
But when I come back
From the firmament in the sky
And I step down to the ground
I see life for what it is
It’s counted by the seconds
By the minutes
By the hours
It’s gone
Because time is temporary...

Loveliness Poem
L~etting out a gasp, the young man stared at the pretty face.
O~pening the curtains, he noticed a
V~eil covering the beautiful
E~ndearing visage of a young
L~ady who sat upon purple velvet cushions.
I~side was the decor of the patterned interior of
N~eedlework with gold and purple threads.
E~nsuring that the horses were well fastened, the footman
S~lid some cushioned steps before the carriage doors;
S~o that this adorable lady may step down. How gorgeous she looked!...
