Premium Member An Absurd Cliche

     ‘Circling the wagons’
         is an absurd cliché

      ‘Cos even stations-wagons
         are out-of-fashion today

The Iss

Space stations spin to create gravity
Spin to create stillness

I too have to be moving ever so quickly
To feel a semblance
Of stability

Premium Member Geese

Black silhouetted
Geese fly along the shore South
Bound for winter's home

Wandering weather
Predication stations, free, no
Cost, reliable

Premium Member And the Beat Is Stuck

Why don't we move on musically
Why are we stuck in the '60's or 70's'
Maybe so oldie stations can thrive
~ back when we were truly alive

Presences

Some affirm
tropics are sad
as well as railway stations.
Believe.
The choice is for
all those who passed by.

And for a Communion
(with
a rose).

Brevettes Stations

summer
     foreshadows
     satisfaction

     Winter
     deepens
     cold

     autumn
     unravels
     trees

     spring
     projects
     smiles

Premium Member Two Psychic Dalmatians

Two friendly but eerie Dalmatians
are Peoria’s psychic sensations
They can sense Aunt Ann
smell your dead Uncle Stan
And visit forebears in fire stations

The Need

The road, from dreams
Stations of definitions –
And the side, it met us
About fruit, flowers, and genesis

Not the skies, neither depth, nor . . .
The quest? Conquer the man within!

Premium Member Cocksure That Spring Had Sprung

Cocksure were we that Spring had sprung
Unprepared once again to be stung

Mussorie: a Hill-Station In India

On the foothill of Himalayas range,
The queen of hill stations in India
Holds a fairyland atmosphere,
With hugging spiral roads
Ascending to the peak,
Mussoorie gives
Top view of
Foggy
Land
Form: Nonet

80 - 20

I could write a sonnet
or maybe a play
I could have gone epic
in hopes to relay
What snippets say better
in stations of rhyme
And carry within them
—a power sublime

Unwritten Rules In the 1970's

Ladies don't go into bars
Ladies don't go into service stations, nor parts stores nor tire stores.
Ladies don't go to war.

We've come a long way BABY!

They are sending us to the front lines!! Yikes!!

Premium Member Double Feature

Mars is such a long way off
Flying there could be quite tough
Let's set up intermediate stations
On each one take long vacations

If we ever get to Mars, then good
And if not ~ Well, that's Hollywood!

Watch All Other Tv Stations

Watch All Other TV Stations

Except FOX, all other news TV Stations watch,
Because all up things Fox does seem to botch;
Whittle away,
Night and day;
More irritation caused when Fox carved a notch.

Dancing-Acrostic

Dance ballerina dance
All the stations played it
Nat King Cole was the star
Couples smooched to the music
In every club and bar
Naughty things happened after dusk,
Girls wed, babies all premature.

Penned September 23 rd. 2013
Form: Acrostic

Premium Member Rondelet: Panic Stations

Panic stations
Uneasy the herds where packs rode
Panic stations
Packs close ranks when lone wolf notions
Disrupt the pecking order mode
It's the lone voice that bears the load
Panic stations

I Forgot

The moon this night
is a half but tomorrow,
tomorrow it will be the full moon.
When you and I
open
all the night railway stations,
open
all the short towns.
And all the statues
will become meek
scars …

I forgot my heart.

Confusion

How many gas stations I
passed
Driving, driving, driving
Where?

Reaching always different
places
With different people
Why?

Looking for a real life
In peace with
Who?

Don't know, yet. Confusion
Try getting real
When?

Quintessentially Australian

The agapanthus
for generations
lined the carriageways
and driveways
of Australian farms
and cattle stations
also called Lily Of The Nile
a native of Africa
a sublime pairing
with jacaranders
a scene quintessentially Australian.

Premium Member Twelve Out of Eleven

Watch lots of TV but stay away from those news stations Nature and historical programs are my current obsession Much better for my psyche Happy as poop by crikey! At times watch cartoons, maybe twelve times out of eleven
Form: Limerick

Radio

Three hundred miles
Only a few hours
Faded green signs;
The sleep in my eyes
Crackling stations
Between mountains
They comfort me
Like a good book
Or the pull of a memory
Little glimpses of peace
White noise moments
They're gifts from time
