Unwritten Rules In the 1970's

Ladies don't go into bars
Ladies don't go into service stations, nor parts stores nor tire stores.
Ladies don't go to war.

We've come a long way BABY!

They are sending us to the front lines!! Yikes!!

Thanks for visiting my poems, Doris. I'm a homeschool mother who looks for a lesson in everything. :) I was just a kid in the 70's but I certainly don't remember my mother doing any of these things during those days.

well Doris you have touched on one of my favorite themes, i when asked what were the best times will say the 70s, i think the mix of technology was just about right then, new inventions stayed new longer and although not perfect it was as good as it got.

Front lines? For real?Double yikes. Hey, are you sure they were not going into bars in the 70's? Well, I was still in school, but I think I saw them doing it in movies. What I recall is that the men actually washed your car windows and took care of the gas and stuff. Those sweet times are long long gone!! About the Light poem, I did not think I'd ever do that dream one either. but try it and you might surprise yourself.

Yes, we've come a long way, but I'd rather find the way back. I don't think I could fire a gun if my life depended on it, Doris. Some women can, I'm sure, but not me. Astute observations you've made here! Love, Carolyn
