We All
We All
We all have tears that we cry
We all have times we want to die
We all have moments where we sit and we stare
Waiting for someone who was never there...

Twenty-Five Miles
Just like Edwin Starr, I have a long walk ahead of me. A person needs strong and sturdy feet to walk twenty-five miles. Walking will all be worth it because my woman waits at the end. Robert Pettit for Nette Onclaud’s “On Your Feet” contest.

War
Edwin Starr asked ya what is it good for
Big share holder bonuses
And a politicians ego
Don't fall for jingoistic rhetoric
Wear the white poppy
And tell the war mongers to go to heck
abso.lutely.

My Bestie and Me
My bestie friend is always in my heart
Knew we would from the start
We clicked and nicked.
Sucked and swallowed
Crazy days and nights that followed
Nina and Ma’s and pinching cars
and having carverys down the starr
People say we both berserk that
Lisa-Jane Costigann and Rachel Ruthless Turk...

Renaissance

Metro Cardigan
with a slim fit.

Be in your thinking mature.
Hero of the day.
Atlantic Starr

Moving steadily besides the still waters.
May goodness follow me.
Ensemble Cymbalta.

Skyscrapers on top of cloud atlas,
Vanilla sky fools delight of a purple sky.
Rotating around the earth's axis.
Now let's end it on a good good note.

Dear Daddy
Why are you not here?
Didn't you love me?
Wasn't I enough, to make you change.
When I raise my arms for a hug,
there is nothing, only air.
When I cry, you are not here to soothe my woes,
and tell me everything will be alright.
Did the thought of me chase you away?
When I should of been enough to stay.

What Is It Good For
Why is it
that we suppose
we are the superior being?
When all we do
is cause death and destruction,
that's all that I am seeing!
We go to school,college,uni
and listen to teachers teach
but when will we stop all war
and practice what they preach?
If you listen to Edwin Starr
his message was simple and right.
As far as I can see,
it really does no good
when all we do is fight....

Paul wrote songs he sang with his guitar. The “cute” one, he has come amazingly far! The “smart” one John went successfully solo, but one tragic day got murdered by a nut. George, smoker, lead guitarist and spiritual, “quiet” one, got cancer. He’d composed “Here Comes the Sun.” Ringo, the Beatles’ drummer, met his second wife filming “Caveman.” They’ve enjoyed a long, rich life.

With a Little Help From My Friends
“Billy Shears” was a pseudonym for Ringo. He was the drummer for the Fab Four as you would know. The Sergeant Pepper album for this group went far. Vocals for the second track were supplied by Mr. Starr. “With a Little Help From My Friends” had a good sound. On the back of the album cover, the lyrics could be found. Inspiration for writing comes in a stream and never ends. I get my ideas with a little help from my friends.

Entropy
A dignified statesman,
A deified ‘Godman,’
A glorified star (of films or sports)
All tumble—
After a Starr report
Or an HIV test
Or a dope test.
Or maybe a Watergate
Or a Coalgate.
Media reports or media hype?
Whistle blowers
On whistle blowers—ad infinitum.
God and my God are antithetical?
Is rape the norm—
Where Rama and Sita are worshipped?
Whatever your belief,
Call it Postmodern Era
Or Kali Yuga
Or what you will,
Will entropy be the norm?
