Soulmates MIA
life waylaid by confusion
we search a world of
topsy-turvy Escher halls
climbing flights of endless stairs
A familiar tale so oft told
of one so shy .. the other bold
an affair that started in the rain
was love a consequence or pain?
While drinking from snout,
I then knew without a doubt:
Eyes looking at me.
Suddenly feel uneasy
As our star-crossed gazes meet.
We said goodbye
the night we met
fate our child
to bear
Star crossed love
in orphaned time
betrothed stillborn
—affair
(Dreamsleep: May, 2023)
Star-crossed by the years
a cuckhold of fate ...
I made love to you
in the copulate verses
of another time
— and another life
(Dreamsleep: March, 2025)
He was once the sun of her sky
And she, a star from a universe he esteemed
But their star crossed love went awry
Eclipsed by the traverse of moonbeams
A dark moon rising, on the edge of a dream
Tears embedded
three ring delight
Star-crossed harlequins
pigmented fright
Echoes of laughter
masking false smiles
Greasepainted fantasy
—clowns in denial
(The New Room: July, 2022)
One by one,
They push
This dagger
Through their souls
Montague and Capulet
Star-crossed lovers
So deeply in love
We cross the stars
Claim that
Love is just
A test
We married
In secret
She was posh and built at enormous cost
Alas, She was fated to be star-crossed
Plunged to Her eternal grave
Capt Smith gave a final wave
And shouted, "Cheer up folks! All hope is lost!"
Death courting life…
inextricably entwined
Most star crossed of lovers
their hatred of time
Death courting life…
new beginning at the end
Last promise to make
—final message to send
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2019)
darkness yells out the daylight
charcoal pencil images
join to dance within the void
shadows kissing in thin air
on this black magic evening
suddenly they disappear
star crossed - like silhouettes lit
08~11~2014
The night was of crystal clarity
No clouds obscured the stars
A new moon graced the sky
And the lover’s moon was ours
A shooting star crossed the sky
And we both made a wish
Then I held you in embrace
And we shared our first kiss

Star-Crossed Cat Love
A domestic Manx, hopes torn stream and tossed
Pines and purrs for a stray cat so very lost
Their souls ache with delight
Through the screen door at night
A true love forbidden at a heartbreaking cost
Star crossed lovers strolled together
over moorland fields of heather...
Tragedy unfolds
Emily Bronte wrote thereof...
She, too, lost chance to find true love...
Death, again, grabs hold

The family feud
Between The Montague and
The Capulet,
On opposite ends
Attracting a love
Between night and day
Star-crossed lovers met
This Romeo and sweet Juliet
Facing their fate
This poison of death
What bitter drink
To die a thirsty death
Secret lovers must end
A sunset, star and moon
set at the same time
It's noon yet I'm waiting for the moonlight to come out
, just in case it missed me
Then a star crossed the nights sky , lightning up the nights skies
I await for another sunset for tommorow will bring a sunset, star's and moon
Cruise ship
Leaves slip
Line rails
Cocktails
Strong breeze
Rough seas
Swigs booze
Bad news
Oh me
Queasy
Boat drill
Felt ill
Grub great
Gained weight
Oh shucks
Tight tux
Played slots
Lost lots
Met Moll
Some doll!
Let's dance?
Perchance?
Git lost!
Star-crossed!
Cruise done
No fun
A single melody plays on and on
A couple dancing all night long
Stolen kisses under the light of the pale moon
The beginning of a love that was doomed
Star crossed souls searching to find
The soul mate they left back in another time
But fate has a way of turning things
And the love they once had now lives only in their dreams

Porcupine fell in love with Porpoise today.
Protective quills ready at the stay.
Porpoise dove down with his blunt snout.
Porcupine smiled; in love with the lout.
It can never be actualized Porcupine said.
But I will love you totally until the day I am dead.
Porpoise said, “I feel exactly the same about you. “
They were star crossed lovers, these magnificent two.
We’re destined to love and fated to seethe.
But our stars don’t align
Were you somebody who just meant to leave?
If walking away was the correct choice to find a delight
Was I ever part of your everyday thinking?
If not, I should’ve kept things right
I miss your morning kisses running on my cheeks
I miss our evening catfights…
This time, I just sigh and wreathe.
Traveling cosmos in a star-crossed house at rest
She watched for dreams, catching only the best.
How the house was motorized is anyone’s guess
She traveled around the stars, our friend Ma Cress.
Mystically she was in tune with another world.
Her hopes and dreams were not unfurled.
But we were in awe of Ma Cress for sure.
Her dream state was decidedly totally pure.
Our unsung slurs fill the night air,
blurred words become a make out song;
All the careless talk was too strong;
Your hands like flowers in my hair
I feel just like a millionaire;
Here and now is where I belong,
our unsung slurs;
Reckless conversations declare
what we have denied all along;
Star crossed and so very headstrong;
It’s like cuss words mixed with fanfare,
our unsung slurs.
1: If love is a game we need a referee
2: How do I love thee? Let me count the ways! Um…
3: I loved her to death but got off on a technicality
4: Star-crossed lovers occasionally get crossed up and can get rather cross about it too
5: She stole my heart and REFUSED to return it so now I'm a heartless person
6: So I begged her to please have a heart and she said, “I already got TWO you idiot!”
August skies bring summer showers
Thorny thistles, starry flowers
Perseids burst before my eyes
Star crossed furrows, in disguise
Garden angels of the night
Prickly blossoms of delight
August skies bring summer showers
Thorny thistles, starry flowers
